styrofoam + fiberglass...i have questions
alright, i'm thinking of making a fiberglassed hosueing for my ps2, and adding 3-4 cooling fans on/in it...
i have heard about useing styrofoam to do this...to shape it how u want, then just brush on the 'glass...
now...will the 'glass eat up the foam?
if no, after i'm satisfied with the 'glassing, do i just sand and paint?
any info at ALL would be appreciated

im not sure. it was 2 different liquids in 2 different milk jugs that i'd mix together. it was the expanding foam type of stuff. i used it to fill voids and taped off curves, etc, for a sub box a while ago. as far as the name of the stuff, i have no idea. if you go to home depot or lowe's, im sure they'd know what you were talking about if you asked around for a 2 part foam.

also, would u have any idea on what the best air intake/exhaust route would be to cool the slim ps2?
i hear it over heats like a biach in a car...thers no cooling fan, just a heat sink...so i'm planning 1 fan intake, 2 fans exhaust within the housing
so how should i set this up? keep in mind that half of the top of the ps2 needs to be clear, as thats where the cd's go in, along with the front where controller ports/power is

I used the blue insulation foam that is 2'' thick and glues layers together with white glue. Then sanded that into shape. Then cover it in Aluminum foil. That way the two pieces will seperate easy when done. It works like a charm. Any the cheep dollar store foil works just as well as the good stuff. You just have to be a lil more careful not to tear it. Good luck and post some pics. Oh yeah, that blue foam, if you cut it with a knife it kinda cunks off funny. Take off the big corners with a saw then sand the rest and you can get a real nice finish.
