I gained about 1mpg average from exhaust. I did a 1mo average after and a 1mo average before hand and tried to keep my driving style constant (I didnt include the first week of having my exhaust on. lol).
If you want loud stay away form gibson, I love my gibson for the simple fact that it has some throat with out having to scream.
I second Magnaflow if you want an entire kit. They are usually pretty loud. The best way to get loud in my experience, though, is to find a loud muffler that you like the sound of and take it to a muffler shop.

IMO Flowmasters sound like garbage on a lot of vehicles and they are a labyrinth of restriction.

Bring your miracle exhaust to Ford, as they will pay you tens of thousands of dollars (if not hundreds of thousands) for that exhaust, thats what they pay to get a that same increase in mileage because it costs them big time with CAFE.

Its not uncommon to pick up 1-2mpg from intake and exhaust.

I did.
FlowMasters sound good on some stuff. I have not heard them on a six cylinder that I know of, but they sound good on a four cylinder Ranger and most eight cylinders and they are rather loud.
Magnaflow and Borla are both great sounding and performing mufflers. Neither are to loud, but both have a good tone. I have a Borla and love it, but I like Magnaflow too, I almost got one.
I used to have glasspacks and they are loud and I gaind a little in the mileage department too.

Would you happen to have a clip of the Borla? I'm thinking of getting my exhaust done this summer.

Borlas sound great on the 4.0, Not ricey in any way. Not as loud as a Flowmaster, but having had both, i would much rather have the Borla. Would get you a sound clip, but i don't have a camera that records worth a ****.
