PAINTING IDEA...

I'VE BEEN PLAYING WITH THE IDEA OF PAINTING MY VENTSHADE ACCESSORIES AND MAYBE MY GRILL AND FRONT LOWER VALANCE.

I'LL POST PICS OF ALL IDEAS I QUICKLY PHOTOSHOPPED, CAN YOU GIVE ME YOUR OPINION AS TO WHICH YOU LIKE BEST.

KEEP IN MIND, MY PHOTOSHOP SHILLS SUCK THE BIG VALBOWSKY, AND WERE DONE RATHER QUICKLY.

THE TRUCK IS SHOWN WITH A DEALER PLATE ON THE FRONT.. IT'S NO LONGER THERE NOR IS THE PLATE HOLDER AS WE ONLY USE A REAR PLATE IN MY PROVINCE.

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR INPUT.

I'd pick number 2 or 5... the center of the grille painted looks like a little much to me.

the grill insert painted is interested, I've wondered how that would look. not sure on it. bug deflector is better matched for sure. the last pic feels like too much red though.

what happened to #4??

thanks BRO

I have a phobia of that number. I never write it, don't say it, won't pay for anything with the number in it..I'll buy something extra to make it more..( I know.. weird.. part of post traumatic stress disorder..) ...lol

I say remove the bug deflector for good and dont paint anything, it'll look nice and clean. If you paint that valance I have a feeling you'll be chasing rock chips around for the rest of that trucks life.

+1

You can do it but the price will reflect longevity. I know people that have body colored bed armor on their lower valance and it works great. With that area going conventional paint you'll be redoing it over and over.

I'd choose variant 3. Looks a bit dollish, but I like that!
It gives your car a good feeling of wholeness and streamlining.
But this is truly womanlike opinion, so you may not follow it

I think you should use #1.. 1 solid color all over looks strange to me.. Multiple colors make it stand out! ex: Silver Black and Chrome are my 3.. chrome badge, chrome wheels, chrome-ish bumper. Goes with the bolts on my fender flares, then the black fender flares will go with the toolbox, and non-chrome part of the bumper when i get around to painting it. But hey, its all opinion anyways.

#5 would be my pic out of the lot, but I would personally lose the bug guard. It would look so much cleaner.

Here's the perfect idea! Trade me grilles and then ditch the bug deflector.

If I can find the protection film for the front of the hood I will ditch the bug deflector. I'm not a huge fan of it either but I hate having rock chips on the paint even more.

skip the painting, and paint your headlights. It will DRASTICALLY change the look of your truck. Also, your bug shield flexes in the wind, good luck keeping paint on it.

well now I've heard from the resident clown

I've painted bug deflector before and had no problem, the trick it to use BUMPER PAINT. has a flex agent added, but thanks for your headlight idea...KRYLON GLOSS BLACK WORK FOR YOU ?

Bahaha.. MY BAD..LOL

I'm thinking of doing the headlight nod,but going to color match the inside instead of the common black and leaving the grill black.
