Led Markers in Bumper

I read a thread on mirror signal leds and thought cool, I'm gonna try that. Well, I bought the marker lights and found out that it wouldn't work for my truck. I should have known better, one of those impulse things... :)

Anyway, since they wouldn't work, I thought I'd try something different. I mounted them in the open space in the bumper. I figure If I end up not liking them, I will put them on my trailer... :)

You should upgrade your mirrors and try to install them again

They look good there though

Will the newer ranger mirrors bolt right up on my 95? If they will, I might do that when I get the money... :)

There's a thread somewhere on how to do it... those lights look good though. Did you wire them into your signals or do they just come on when your headlights are on?

For now they just come on when the corner marker lights / headlights come on. I thought about wiring them into the signals only (I haven't done the signal mod) but I wanted to see what they looked like being on all the time, at night of course... :) Thanks :)

I just bought some Recon "big rig" amber strips that go under the doors for my F-350. When they didn't fit right on there, I turned to the ranger and put them on. I wired them to be bright all the time as they also have a turnsignal function. Like what this guy has under his door.

I put the lights on with the supplied brackets...drilled the holes, painted the holes, added some silicone to screws to attempt to keep rust out. Ran wiring up and tucked away similar to factory. Tapped into running lights in the wiring harness. They are always bright and don't flash with turn signals as I only wanted them to be bright.

Nice bumper LEDs Mike. Hey Cole, any more pics? I would like to see your whole truck lit up.

you can get an LED stick like on the dodge or you can do it like me. I'll post a pic later but i have 5 maxxima thin-line lights on each side of my truck on the pinch weld. Real easy to do and looks great at night

I recently took them off to install my body lift, but I actually like them in the bumper. So I will be putting them back in the bumper holes tomorrow... :) I want to get a couple more for my trailer as well.
