Ford Ranger Forum, as mentioned before, is full of people that have Plastidipped their entire trucks. You might want to create an account there instead and ask your questions.

It's meant as a temporary thing you try to see if you like the way something looks in a different color.. say red or black. A lot of people use it to coat their whole dang truck, and it just looks stupid. Try it, sure. But peel it off if you like the color and then paint the thing properly.

Psh if I'm gonna add any kinda stack it's gonna be the one I cut a hole in the bed for.

I was thinking I'd probably paint flames and slam it to the ground, too.

Fire resistant, not fire proof. There's a difference.

I'm sure if I put a thick enough coat on I'd be fine.

Are you a spray paint lobbyist or something?

wow some dip haters in here.

I use it on my wheels every winter. Call me crazy but id rather spend an hour or 2 spraying some plasti dip on my wheels rather than spending many more hours in the spring polishing my wheels.

We don't hate it for that reason, we hate it for people that use it like spray paint.

There's a difference between using it for protection like a condom, and using it for appearance like a PEN15 ring.

LMAO!

You're right though. Protecting your rims during the winter is acceptable. Being a homo with it is not.

Like stated above I use it on my wheels. Maybe 5 months at a time. At the end of that 5 months that stuff is pretty brittle.

I had it on the grille of my Fusion for about 7 months. It held up pretty well for the most part, outside of a few rock chips. It was a pain in the dick to get off until I bought some Goo Gone.
