K&N FIPK with stock air box

I'm not sure if this mod is new...but I'm sure someone might be interested in it.

The stock airbox with the MAF connected...fits right onto the K&N tube.

So you get the K&N looks and perfomance but with the stock airbox and filter.. Except I have a drop in K&N filter and snorkel removed.

A person might want this mod it they think the open air filter/heat shield the K&N FIPK comes with isn't as good as the stock box. I'll upload a pic tomorrow.

Personally I'd rather have the K&N the way it came.

Seems like it would defeat the purposeof the K&N.

I think this may be a more for looks mod. The looks of the K&N FIPK tube with the protection of having a stock box for off roading.?

the K&N tube is smoother then the stock tube

so there will be some gain there, but the filter is the main part of it
