Train Horn Set-up
Alrighty....As you guys might know I own a set of train horns, a two Gallon tank, and a compressor...as of now i got em mounted under my truck on a piece of metal and worked fine..kinda sucks when you go off roading...and today at work i was honking them and broke my switch for the 2nd time..dunno why but I did...
i was plannin on moving the horns and puttin them in my bed...now im kinda a neat freak so i want everything to loook professonial..how should i mount em..
I was thinking of getting a piece of diamond plate and making a plate for everythin to sit on..then just bolt it to the bed..or somethin...
then get a new switch instead of having it on my door panel put it on my center console and fab up somethin cool around it like LEDs or something..
but i wanna do somethin crazy with the install in my bed..like a diamond plate box with it all mounted..im actually thinking bout gettin a Stainless steel 5 gallon tank and get another compressor so i could mount it all nice lookin then on that plate..but i think if im going down the road it might rattle and when the compressor is cranking it might rattle too..so i dunno wat to do...
so im open to ideas..with somethin in the bed or even somethin else....

I would mount the compressor tank close to the front of the bed, and have the horns facing upwards torward the top of the bed on the front of the bed. Dunno what thats called but the opposite of the tailgate. And since you got the bed cover you don't have to worry about anything getting down in them.
Have them mounted in a temple sort of configuration with the middle horn slightly higher up than the other 2.
