Should I?

Should I?
Here's my dilemma. I love my truck more than anything, but it's at 149,0xx miles right now. Rust issues, tranny is still original so that will go soon, and I have a gut feeling she's on her last breath. There is this GORGEOUS truck about a half hour from my school, 2004 Ranger 4dr Supercab, 4x4, 4.0 5-spd. Every option it looks like minus power windows which I could always install. It does however, look like it has a crooked front bumper and it's missing a passenger side fog light, but I'd ditch the front bumper for a custom tube bumper anyway. Here is the link....

This is the exact-ish front end I'd go for with the billet grill/tube bumper...
I would take a $8,000 loan (4yr/48motnth)out for this truck, so that would be enough for the truck, a 3" BL, and 33" BFG AT's on my current black steelies. The price listed on the website is including a trade-in, so there's where my truck comes into play. This would be about a $9k or $10k truck without a trade in IMO.
From my current truck, I'd keep the wheels, bull-bar, the tonneau, the RECON Line of Fire, my stereo system, and my exhaust if possible.
Again! I am just throwing some ideas around. I'm just really into this at the moment. Please let me know what you think.

Jeez I can't stop thinking about that picture! I'd make it my phone wallpaper but my GF was already pissed when I just MENTIONED that picture of those chicks lmao.
Out of curiousity, what do you want for your truck? I think its gorgeous man. My personal experience, keep what you've got. I got rid of my 2000 cause I wanted a newer, "prettier" truck, but I'm sick of the payments...

^^^ My thoughts exactly.
Why do you feel like your trucks on it's "last leg"?
I've got over 175,000 on mine and it's still as reliable as the day I bought her. Still on the original tranny too, as long as you do routine maintenance, she'll last forever.
Honestly, after making payments on trucks and cars all my life, unless something major happens, I'm not gonna jump back into it.

Im in the same boat as you, im in school and have close to no money and really want a new truck, but with that said, my truck still gets me around and will last until im done with school. My own personal rule is not to buy anything unless i have the money for it. I bought my current truck in cash and have not regretted it once. Your truck may need some work, but a couple hundred bucks is better then a few thousand.
That truck looks a lil rough too and it seems a little expensive too.
Just my advice. Sorry if its not what you wanted to here man. I Love your truck as well, even with the problems you have had, lol.

I have to agree with the general idea here that this may not be the best deal. If it's something you really want, I bet you could be a walk-in buy and negotiate a better price. Since it's a dealer, I'm betting they would sell it outside of ebay. But in the end, it's your money, do whatever you want with it!

I like your truck better, but if you must upgrade, don't pick that one. The bumper is crooked for a reason. I bet that truck has a had a rough life, and probably been wrecked, and I wouldn't buy a 2004 with 100k. My 2004 had 54k on it when i bought it a few months ago. I would keep shopping.
