$20-30k for a really clean/nice condition one. A absolute mint, NOS everything would be a different story. But you'd have to find someone to spend crazy money on it. They are badass trucks. My fiance drove a '79 throughout high school. Her Dad and I tore it apart, repainted it, rebuilt the engine and such. I'll be buying another for her since her Dad kinda repo'd hers in exchange for a new Caliber lol. He daily drives a '76 Warlock that is pretty sweet too.

That much torque and horsepower down low and no weight over the rear tires...yeah I like to keep my tires for more than 1000 miles.

his bigger problem with all that torque would be tearing the poor ranger in half

I'm going to revive this with my true opinion.

the only place stacks belong are on diesel race trucks/rails since that's the only place that stacks actually serve a purpose

I'm going to respond with my true opinion.

If it is your vehicle, do what you please. There are no rules saying that a vehicle must be a diesel to have stacks. Stacks were on gas truck before they were on diesel drag trucks anyway. Who is to say that is the only place they belong? there are a lot of mods that people do to their vehicle that serve no purpose at all. They do them because they want to. If i wanted to be just like everyone else i would have dual chrome tips out the rear or a Flowmaster dumped over the axle, but i like to be different. I like having things that no one, or not many people have done.

I will keep my stacks on my gas truck and carry on my dads tradition, knowing that nobody else has an exhaust like mine. =]
