drift truck ideas

these are a few things i have been thinking of to turn my truck into a drift truck. any productive input is welcome.

Engine Mods:
-ford racing crate engine(will most likely be the new cobra jet engine)
-blown roots-style supercharger

Suspension Mods:
-2 inches lowered,
-stiffer suspension (open to suggestions on how to achieve this best)

Exterior Mods:
-carbon fiber hood
-quick-disconnect camper shell for good weather and race days

Interior Mods:
-back glass modified to roll down in order to talk to people riding in the back.
- removable bench seat installed in bed complete with seat belts
- roll cage

as i said before, these are things that i have planned to do. they will be done after i finish school and have a few months to build up the cash. the truck i am starting with is a 1996 single cab ranger 2.3 liter 4 cylinder and a manual transmission.

Just buy a drift car dude. You'll never do these things nor will you have the money in "a few months after college" but you could buy a prelude and tear the **** outta it drifting.

I have already competed in this truck and surprisingly it is very good for drifting. Plus,i want something unique, not just a car that anyone can use. All the money would just be in parts becouse i am an automotive technician and will be doing the work myself. It really just dissapoints me that on a ford ranger forum nobody believes that a ford ranger can race. All im asking for is technical advice. Im not going to use a different vehicle just to take the easy way out.

Im an auto tech too, when you start out you arent going to have loads of cash, trust me.

No one said rangers cant race, its just that we've heard all of it before. "Im going topput "yada yada, too big of motor" in."

Id suggest building up a explorer 5.0 and dropping it in. I have a spare im building once my stock 5.0 goes.
