Justin....it looks AMAZING! Such a clean truck inside and out.

It almost needs carpet instead of vinyl. Chris (Arizona 5.0 SAS DWB) just did a JustInteriors black carpet in his and he loves it.

I tried finding one for a long time. I actually almost bought one, the bad thing is it's hard to find an interior in good shape since they are all about 10 years old.

My interior was in good shape so recoating it was the best option.

 

Yeah mines in good shape too but my interior is tan so I feel like Id have to do it all at once and it's a lot of work .. How much did it cost you in supplies ?? And how long did it take aprox. ???

 

I used 8 cans. A case is 6 cans and costs around $70 I think.

Total time varies on how long you take to prep. Actually spraying is a couple hour job with drying included.

It doesn't take long to dry but make sure you do it somewhere heated to speed up the cure time.

If you have a plan of attack you can do the whole interior in a day.

 

So you didn't do any sanding ? Or did you Just used the adhesive promoter.. How many cans of the adhesive promoter ?

 

I just cleaned it and used adhesion promotor. 2 cans is enough to cover everything

 

Do think the color black that you used is close enough to the level two black that I could use a level 2 dash and glove box and then just paint the rest ?

 

I wondered the same thing.

I actually bought black Level 2 kick panels, door sill trim, and a glovebox. When comparing the OEM color to Landau black I honestly couldn't see the difference. I went ahead and recoated them anyway just to make sure they matched though.

There are trim pieces that will take more abuse than others so I figured buying those pieces that are already black and recoating them would ensure that if they get scratched for flake off they will be black underneath.

 

Did you but those from police interceptor ? I'm gunna do new tires and coilovers once I get my brackets .. And I was thinking of doing my interior at the same time

 

No, his were not in good shape and he is very difficult to deal with. I got them from drppdyllwrngr. He is the same guy who made my seats.

He also got me black seatbelts out of the same truck so everything matches

 

Finally got around to ordering my trans temp gauge. I've had this steering column pod for a few years and hopefully will get to install it soon.

It's an AutoLite II so the silver and white LED backlight will match my current gauges nicely.

Yes, I know the needle is orange and mine are white, but when I do my motor swap I will doing a full AutoLite II gauge setup for it

 

Where did you order your interior paint and adhesive promoter from?

 

I got it from a local paint shop

 

On your interior was there any tricks to removing the back paneling without breaking the pins/tabs whatever you wanna call them.. when i tried it before i couldn't find a easy way to doing it

 

There might be. I broke several of them. I'm not concerned about them since I'm building a new box for the whole back wall

 

go get one of these. You wont break a single pin and it saves you tons of time if you're using a flat head screwdriver. any autoparts store should have them, It'll be your best friend removing those stupid pins.
I told Grev about them and he bought one right after to save him time

 

I used that tool and I still broke clips. The ones in the back wall are not like the ones in the other panels. They are held in tighter and with a different style retainer.

That tool works great on all the other panels though

 

I've never broken any of those inside my old truck that i completely gutted to find a water leak. Cant see the back panel but everything was out. the ones on the curved part are a pain in the *** though lol


I broke two when i removed the mudflaps on this truck but thats it.

 

Maybe mine are just brittle

Also agreed! The risk is still there and I too have pulled through a few in the past. In most cases the tool works awesome. But in some, there is no way around cutting or breaking.

My wife has had trouble getting in and out of my truck since I lifted it so I found a member selling 2011 OEM steps.

 

those steps look good !! quick question when i go to remove the padding on the front door panels how do you get them off ??
