What ones did you order ? From ebay or the retrofit? I wish I could find an adapter that's just plug and play

Yep one for each fog. The other end I had laying around as a spares form the various other hid conversions I have done. Then just soldered the 2 together.

Lights came in. I haven't got anything mounted yet, but I did a quick mock up. The fogs are close to perfect but will definitely need a custom mount made.

My dually knock offs are going on the rear, I haven't decided but I mocked up what I'm thinking

Oh, and a reference to how they might look in the front bumper

Mike, I tried bench testing the X5 lights and nothing came on. When you hooked up the pigtails did you have any trouble getting them to work?

Granted, I was using jumper wires to my battery, maybe that's my problem?

Look good, need to see the finished pics and night shots.

What are the lumen output on the front lights ?

I like the look of the front fogs, kind of European.

Make sure the polarity is correct, they came on right away when I did it. You may also need the pig tail to properly power them up.

I have a few ideas, right now mine are zip tied in place so I could get the aim right. but my plan is to bond 1/4in PVC pipe in about 1 inch lengths to the side and run long bolts into the bumper. that should give plenty of rotational adjustment and strength for the mount.

no need for it, I could use aluminum tube but plastic is going to be just as strong for this application, they just need to be long neough to have a good solid bond.

I remember now that they were posted, didn't take the time to look back.

Will look back for the night shots.

Thanks

My original post is an output shot from the drivers seat, here they are again, one with my shop lights on and one with them off.

I wanna do something without bonding, something just just a bolt in bracket adapter once i get a chance to look at ill be able to figure something out but i haven't been able to see how it lines it inside the bumper

If someone takes a pic of the inside of the bumper with the original mounts and the x5 fogs help up in there ill draw something up and make it at work

Or just make a couple extra sets of brackets. lol.

This. It'd position them slightly behind and up from the bumper. Whatever spread they are, that's the way you want to have them positioned. Welding on a bracket to your hitch may be best. If you were bodylifted, bolting on a chunk of flat bar to the stock bumper mounts works great......it's what I use. But you ain't bodylifted. lol.
