Nope, heard bad things about them. And don't feel like welding an adaptor at the end of my housing for it. I'd have to get different shafts, that were 70$$ more a peice anyways. Then I'd have to order the same shafts which are $$ to have spares. So naw, not gonna mess with it yet. If it keeps breaking, i'll put a 60 in it or somethin.
Gettin my rotors redrilled to 6 lug on monday. Tomorrow I will be getting the hardware to bolt my steering on. Getting my hoses for power steering, and making my steering shaft.
So if tomorrow goes well, I will have functional power-steering.
As soon as my rotors get re-drilled and I find some 3.5" u-bolts and spring plates that fit, My rear axle will be on the truck, and it will be sitting on its own weight, with a driveshaft (if it's long enough).
Got my power steering hoses made today. Box is mounted. Steering is mounted. But since I don't have my assist ram, I have to cap the two ports coming out of the box, and the caps don't seal...so I gotta wait till tomorrow if they are open or next week to get new caps, or wait till PSC's rams arn't on damn backorder.
Don't have the driveshaft hooked up yet, I still have the stock shaft for now. I won't be able to hook it up until i modify my tranny crossmember. But the stock shaft is kind of long for a solid axle, but I have mine pushed forward about 3" so I might work.
The stock steering shaft, fully extended is 20.5", and it needs to be 21" to reach the box. Haven't made the shaft yet, I will tomorrow if it's not raining. So it will be about 21" when it's said and done.
That looks about right there christian. If it doesn't rain today, i'm going to make my steering shaft.
My power steering works, and my pump isn't shot like i thought it was (well i'm not turning the tires yet lol). But those damn caps leak, so I'm not going to turn it will the tires on, on the ground. Don't feel like cleaning all that PS fluid off my bling *** paint on my axle lol.
When i get the caps that seal, and my steering shaft made, the only thing i need for the front is shocks and brake lines....
The rear I still need u-bolts and spring plates that'll fit the 3.25" tubes. The brake line on the axle, extended flexible line from the frame, and shocks...
I'm actually going to drive it without shocks on up to the local Coke bottling plant (friends dad runs it) and he's going to man a fork-lift for some poser flex's so i can see how much travel I need my shocks to have.
I guess I could take some pics of the steering all hooked up, if ya'll want to see them.
Ya it looks like its moving gil. At full lock the caster makes it look like it's moving. The inside tire, cuz of the caster, is pushing down, therefore pushing that side of the tube upwards, making it "look" like its moving around.
