05edge's sas

i started the swap about a month ago, so i figured its time to make a thread. im doing this at school and only get to work on it about 10 hours a week so progress is a little slow.

im using a ford 9" in the rear and a d44hp up front

suspension all stripped

leaf springs mounted

sitting on its own.

for height comparison, here is my friend next to it. hes 6' tall

the fronts all ready to be started on. hopefully all my metal and brackets will be here for next week.

i really want to run 38's pitbull rockers but dont come in a 38. so either a 38 of some kind or a 39.5 rocker. i wont have tires until after winter though.

they are making new sizes all the time, nothing wrong with 14.5 wide.

i dont plan on keeping the d44 for to long. i know it wont hold up very well. im only using it because i got it for cheep. i wont be doing much wheeling right now so it will be fine.

thanks again zach for those parts! hopefully all my stuff from ballistics will get here around the same time.

I think there are like 5 RF members waiting for stuff from Ballistic. How long have you been waiting? I really hope mine ships soon.

From what i have read on pirate, the pitbulls run extremly small. You would be lucky to find a 39 rocker that measured 37.5in mounted.

i ordered my stuff last monday the 12th.

my teacher loves this kind of stuff. he has his own tube chassis race car, so i think he was pretty interested in my swap and had no problems with me doing it.

no update yet. yesterday was nothing but cleaning the frame.
