I have single piston's up front, but coupled with drilled rotors and I can stop pretty damn fast. Just something to look into..

seeing as no one wants to answer questions i ask in pm's ill just ask here.
what is the advantage of having the shackles in the rear on the front axle, ive asked a few people that have done a sas and they never respond, how rude huh?

the leafs are 4.5" RE leafs, i think they should be fine, my truck only has the little 2.5L, i don't see the front being much heavier then the front a 4.0 jeep.

If they are from the RE 4.5" YJ kit they are only 4" springs. Both the 4" and 4.5" RE kits use the same springs. The extra .5" comes from extended shakles in the 4.5" kit....RE springs are supposed to not sag as bad or as fast. I think you made out really well. My 4.10 D30 cost me $150.
i might grab the rear leafs but he said the one is bent and im not sure they would even work on the rear of my truck.

He is correct, with the shackles forward the axle will move forward slightly when it flexes, with the shackles in the rear the axle moves back slightly on flex.
Why did Jeep put the shackles in the front instead of the rear? Your guess is as good as mine. Chevy set up their axles with the shackle in the rear, Jeep had them in the front so who knows. I do see a lot of people doing shackle reversals and their are kits to make the change.
