so back in june i wrecked my truck trying to avoid hitting a deer and i still ended up hitting a small pine tree. so its been way to long without driving my truck and with winter nearing i finally saved enought to start the rebuild. i bought all 4 ball joints from rockauto and 4 new bilstein 5100's for my truck. i got 3 of the shocks on and one upper on and it started to get dark but i still need to pick up 2 cv's, a steering knuckle, header panel, bumper, marker light, and fogs. but onto the pics
yes no truck since june has sucked. but its been well worth the wait. i have a bunch of mods thats are going onto the truck so by december she will be ready for the woods. the frame and front crossmember werent damaged. the radiator support was damaged a little at the bottom corner but ive gotten it pretty close to straight. as of right now im stuck waiting for my buddy to come over so i can do my inner and outter tie rods.
got the rest of my balljoints done and also got the last shock in. i pulled the header panel and lights off. tommorrow im making a jy trip to pick up explorer springs, knuckles and cv's, the header panel and light assembly, and possibly a brush guard.
just got back from the junk yard i got a killer deal for everything i picked up both front steering knuckles with the cv's a brush guard tail light protectors explorer springs and a new power mirror all for 50.
okay guys started putting the cv axles and the knuckles on the truck yesterday got the drivers side all squared away. but im having a problem with the passenger side cv. is there a specific way that that cv goes in? also i have one more question could a mazdas header panel be used on my truck and still be able to have the ford front end or would it have to have the mazda front end?
well i got some more progress done i was givin a mazda front end so i put it on. its only temporary just so i can drive the truck. im going to be putting the 98 ranger front end back on just need to save some money for parts. heres the pics
well i figured id revive this tread i got new shackles from my sister for xmas so ill be swappin them and the expo springs on with in the next few days. then im waiting for my next paycheck to put my bodylift on order and hopefully driving up to ct to pick up a eb dana 44.
yeahs its so nice ive had it in the woods and showed up my buddy who has a cherokee and my buddy who is a die hard chevy fan. i made him think twice about talking **** on ford when i had water up to the bottom of my windshield in a mud hole and still pulled through the hole. i cant wait till i have a bl and some 33's
