no kidding... i might not bother then, its more of a want then a need. first i need fenders to keep down the spray and avoid a ticket from my tires kicked out lol.

I'm having a friend in a local body shop do some legwork for me and see if he can workout a deal getting them for me and painting them. im looking atleast $600 painted though.. which blows! i was hoping it wouldnt be bad, maybe $60 to ship them...

Tomorrow morning im heading under the truck to change the oil (used seafoam in it and its ready to come out), remove my sway bar, remove my hitch, and take out the jack. Anything else pointless and heavy or big i can remove to save some weight?

Post pics man, sounds like this is going to be a good build. Just a suggestion seeing as how you are in Ontario. If you are looking for parts brackets etc etf, give Tim a call at TMR Customs in Aurora here's his number 1.877.503.8671? He might be able to help you out.

Alright, glad i got finished up. Had to crush the oil filter to get it to spin off, she was beyond stuck. fresh oil, tires pumped up, filled her up, washed the outside and cleaned the windows inside. I love to work on this thing, i missed it over the shitty winter. Its 13 outside today, thats 55F.

I removed the swaybar, hitch, shroud and jack. total weight was about 70 lbs. (sway bar was 15Lbs alone!)

and its hard to see, but you can see the crap seafoam took out of my engine. this oild is 1 week old, with about 300 kms on it.

I took this morning to finally take the time and setup my E-Fan. I bought 2 40/30 amp relays, ran 12 guage wire, and fused it with a 30 Amp medium fuse. i used to use crimp connectors but this time i soildered everything, and am glad i took the time to do it all properly.

Heres my work. Ran the ground to the body mount, moved all the extra wires away from the battery. tucked all wires and they are cut to proper length.

right relay is high, left relay is low.

Thanks! I'm actually editing some picture's, but my ISO settings were cranked so these pictures came out so noisy and grainy. I'm hoping my friend contacting BC supertrucks lets me know tomorrow what the deal will be shipping the fenders my way. I'm really itching to get those 3" glass fenders on the truck, i cant wait for that look!

In other news, I found a regular width ranger axle im swapping the guts from mine into. Right now i have a 92, which is an inch each side narrower. doesnt sound like much, but its a 2" per side difference from the front, that i could really use back. Total cost after i sell my gutted axle should be close to zero. It will be getting all new seals, and an overhaul to clean it up really nice before it goes under. may wait till im doing the lift for that.

as for the lift progress, im slowly adding together what i will order. I want to make it a one shot order, so i can install in a weekend. ive confirmed chevy 64's that will be arched with possibly new bushings. (they are discontinued so we shall see) FOA shocks all around, though im a little hesitant on the company. i will be getting the coils and UCA's and a set of ball joints from canuck motorsports, and the camburg 2.0 upgrade with the gusset kit.

I'll update next in a week or so, or if anything changes. for now i just gotta save my money.

alright a couple changes to the plan. Fenders will be going on first. I've called BC supertrucks and they will have a qoute for me tomorrow. As for shocks, ive steered away from FOA, as every shop ive called wont carry them. looking at either radflo or fox emulsion's. the resi's are nice, but $75 per shock more. I have a dealer in the area that will do 175 per shock on them, so im liking that.

I have to worst buyers remorse every when it comes to $1,500+ in parts, especially while working in a slow market. (car sales in the winter is always dead). As long as it picks up in april, everything should be on track for the begining of May.

Fender order, (if my friend who is also ordering is ready) should be the end of the month at the latest. im ready now though lol.

in updates to the truck, i took the time to tune my amp, and MY GOSH the difference is amazing. i never changed it from the POS sony explod sub i had in there, and now i know why i wasnt happy. I found a black headliner out in alberta my friend is going to grab for me, and i also decided to keep the axle i have under the truck, and save the $200 for my fenders. Thats all that happening now.

Oh, buy Auto Glym HD wax, and do it after a clay bar. Best wax ive EVER used!!!

Subscribed for updates! Looks good so far.

What rating is your trailer hitch, and do you have a buyer for it yet? I'm interested in it.

We just signed up for this forum as per adrian with the dixon bros/superlift Ranger's request. He said everyone here is pretty chill, I was reading thru your build here and put 2 an 2 together after page 2.lol.
We are also a radflo dealer, if your looking to get regular 2.0 emulsions we could do $150.00 cdn per unit. If you buy the glass also we will ship to you at no additional charge from the quote on shipping already.

welcome!

i have a feeling i wont be making it onto this order, but im hoping my friend gets his *** in gear to buy his set. (gonna msg him now).

i'm going to start with the glass, and take a look at how the truck sits. i dont need height, i just want wheel clearance, so if the fenders give the truck the look i want, i may not bother dumping another $1500 into parts i dont need or want to buy lol.

I will let you guys know though as soon as im ready. thanks for letting me know! the customer service has been 10x what i was expecting.

now for an update!!!

Chevy 64's that dont seem sagged, and an over head console from an explorer!!!

I'm hoping new bushing are available and i can install these very soon!

alright, ive called it a night. the OHC was a major dick about fitting, but finally i got it to stay where it should.

I'm going to have to take my leaf's to a shop and get the bushings pressed out, as i cant seem to get them to budge.

OHC: make sure you start with a small hole. i hardly had to trim from this.

Im going to wire it up sunday, while its light outside. progress so far is rather good, i just wish i could get the bushings out of the leafs. it would make me so much more relaxed. I'm off to bed, have a good night.

No problem, I greatly appreciated that you installed it for me on your driveway when I came to pick it up.

Sunday working update!

Got my OHC almost finished, the sat radio wire moved, my truck cleaned and did some rust coating.

Got a flash rain storm right in the middle of having the truck torn apart...

Hit 80,000kms... :(

and im loving the new lights!

thats all for now. If i find a place to get the bushings put in my leafs, ill have them in next weekend hopefuly. I'm really itching to order the fenders, the cost is just killing me though, and ive gotta get over the fact of it lol.

Thanks PSIJOE, im loving it so far, and am really happy with the results! that OHC is the best mod ive done to the truck thus far.

Found a shop i can get the bushings pressed out at, will cost from $20-$40 depending on how bad they are to remove. so having new leafs this weekend might actually happen!!!

now, ive gotta check my saved money and see if the fenders are in the cards for me, or if im waiting another few weeks.
