You said that was a snow mobile trailer? haha looks a bit overloaded.

Isn't a 26' dovetail trailer actually longer because the ramp part isn't included in the measurement?

Me? We don't have snow mobiles out here... lol. It's a heavy equipment trailer, spent its last life hauling around tractors and junk. Probably should have a third axle but eh, it has worked fine for the past couple years.

Dunno why I thought snow mobile trailer. Just doesn't look as heavy as the 5th wheels and goose necks I'm used to seeing.

little bit of an update....

the guy working on the heads was a joke, never did anything so Nick and I took the heads and tore them down, and he is taking them to another shop to have the valves seated and the heads cleaned up.

the crank had a few pits where the bearings ride so it went back to the shop to be ground and some new bearings ordered.

here is one of the pistons/rods assembled.

yeah the 4.56s are nice, at WOT it will break the rear tires loose from 1st to 2nd shift. lol also a lot less down shifting while using cruise.

Sweet, have to add that to the want to do but will probably not happen for a while list. Any problems with the install other than the heavy front diff?

no install went super smooth, though i have no desire to drop that front diff ever again. taking it out and installing it by myself was a bad idea, it was so heavy. lol

Just noticed how far along this has come since I last checked. Looks great, but tedious.

I may have missed the answer, however, are you guys rebuilding the engine yourselves? Using a kit or seperate brand parts?

Can't wait to see more updates!

Nick is doing most of the build, only thing he is not doing is the machine work to the block and the balancing. He is just ordering all the mixed parts based on his knowledge and experience. He is also rebuilding the heads himself. He is also tuning it himself.

It is very tedious which is why it is taking so long. but it will be worth it. I cant wait to turn the key over on this one!

My guess on the gears he had in it BEFORE (not b4) were 3.73's or taller because of the 5.4L.
