Dunno yet ( I'm not good at lying am I? ).
You already know what color its going to be. Christian photo-chopped it almost 2-3+ years ago.
Umm.. NOPE. I just saw what it would cost to have someone else fix all the dents and dings and thought I could do it myself cheaper and have the tools and spare cash left over afterwards instead.
The welder/rivet gun with a bunch of the copper rivets was under 100$ at Harbor Freight. I TRIED to find one from Miller/Lincoln but they had NO offerings that I could find.
Im doing this all metal, as little bondo as possible. If theres a small ding, I fill it with .023 wire on a low voltage. It takes time, but I want this done right.

Its not THAT bad. Im welding in plates as I go along so ( Boxing certain parts ) for the next ' mod ' I'm doing.
My rear axle is almost put together, its just cleaning everything up and getting it coated so it doesn't rust again.
Brian is supposed to stop by on sunday and drop off some items for me. Hes using the machine shop on Saturday to mill some things up.

I would like to comment on this build. D Im glad your posting some stuff up on your truck. Up untill this I have never heard or really seen much on it, just heard it was fast. Its nice to actually see something about it. Even though we dont always see eye to eye its nice to see you sharing your build with the site.

Theres a lot of ' trash talkers ' on the internet. I've seen claims of people whom have these 9 second trucks.. And I can whoop up on them ( happened in Cleveland ).
I don't post a whole lot.. sure, a pic here and there, but I let others check it out and drive it in person and at meets. Anyone can SAY they have a 9 second truck or 9 miles of functional lift.. to bring it all ' in person ' and let it speak for itself is the BEST way to go.
People might doubt this but I LOVED eating up a few beemers. I LOVE running down imports with fart-cans in a TRUCK. A little ' Ford Ranger ? '. Its not a lightning or a hemi-ram or anything like that.. It was just a slightly-worked SOHC v6 with some suspension work, 2 bottles and some old-school detroit style thinking.
I won't post the stats of my new motor. I won't post ' timeslips '. I usually don't post videos or pics of some of the ' events ' I get into ( Though, I THINK I posted one of the LEOS chasing me once.. ).. Its too much ' mine is bigger then yours ' arguing..
Having the truck in ' toy ' status is a much welcomed thing. If I screw something up ( which I have several times already.. trust me, not all the pics were posted, especially the inch wide holes I first made in the bed trying to fill the flare holes! ) it can sit and wait.. no rush. Theres no ' deadline ' for what I'm doing and I'm not personally in a rush to have it on the road.
I'll usually talk about anything and give a boisterous opinion, but one thing I don;t talk about is my ride. I might let-on to some things, but theres usually more then whats been noted.
The problem *I* have with my truck.. theres many things *I* didn't do. Others did the work or made the parts and I just put them on. Others did the math and came up with things and I just ' went with it '. I can't say everything being done is of my own hands. The new engine was completely done by a local dyno shop. I built the tranny the axle myself. In all honesty.. its not all ' my work ' , but help from others in a ' hands on ' way.
As for not getting along.. You can have your imports and claim whatever you want. You will always be staring at my tail lights and watching them getting smaller.. and smaller.. and smaller.. and know thy place in the food chain I love using local labor and saying ' a large chunk of this truck was built HERE, as in THIS TOWN '.. How many outside of Detroit can really say the same?
Nick hit it right on.. " German Engineered , American Re-designed " . It fits best on a lot of the trucks I really like. ( Jeys, Beards, Griggs, Bobs, Nicks.. damn.. theres a long list.. ).
