things going nicely ordering the UHMW 3/4" thick sheet to make the pods for the slider today.
and just playing around with the slider to see how far i can brace the slider box to avoid it opening if i hit it against anything, and get em cnc cut with a logo or something hopefully i can sell a few of them around here :P
@crewcab yeah i was at my house when the earthquake hit, the guy i had working in the shop told me he doesent know how the truck didnt fell off, that it shaked alot and very hard!

few updates
and i didnt took it higher as the truck would have tipped over the jack stands
but it still missing a couple inches of uptravel and me standing on the leaves ive got 9" of travel on the leafs. im guessing i´ll get 2-3" of uptravel when maxxed and a couple more of downtravel for some 13" of travel :) well see next week when i can get the truck sitting on its rear and lifting it up with the loader from the shop next to mine

admission and exhaust partially cleaned
oil pan cleaned up
and my biggest cheer for the day! engine was not hydro locked! i feared for it as there was no way to turn the engine but it finally did! so back to buisness
the seal on the intake/exhaust was cracked and a litle loose guess it was there that might have entered the water... who knows, atleast it turnes nicelly again.
long list to go but atleast all im taking apart from the engine is out, lets see if i can get it to finish the rear susp (minus shocks) this week.
already started the rear bed.... i dont know its gonna be a weird build as im aiming for it to be bolt on on most of it, got some crazy ideas for it.. so well see

Im back!
OMG been a long time.... alot of things happened in the mean time.... BIG things are coming soon hopefully. Thing is the TRUCK is getting MOVED ThiS WEEK ! yei!
I dont know how, but i need to get my truck up a platform and taken to a friends shop in where we will start the project and finish it how it really should
im going to trash the idea of the Sliders (again changing opinion i know... its more fun like his..lol...) im going to fix the engineput it running again (water in admission, when they stole my shop last year after my trip to Egypt in August they took the alternator, turbo and other parts, plus all my tool ! ye hei! but o well **** is to get over.. so) ..
So after a year i decided to wait til the time is right, im starting with this project of Zrii, and i manage to crack the code open and learn how to make money out of it! (tough start but very possiuble!)
Front suspension:
-d44 (current)
-3-link with coilovers (maybe fox or king)
-i want to move foward the diff a couple inches
-full-hydro steering
-front diff truss
-limited diff (current)
rear suspension:
-d44 (current)
-electronic locker (current)
-4-link with springs, i want to use springs as i want to make a bed over it, to load it up for trips and be used as a truck so maybe some heavyduty springs might do the job some 350-400lb i was thinking...or less rating with nitrogen shocks :S
-custom aluminium fuel cell made to fit in the chasis flat under the custom bed.
so to bring back to life this thread &
this is the current state my truck is that i neeed to go save this week, then saturday i leave to do a job i have for a week come back and keep making the "to-get list" and hopefully start working in it in august :)

and im thinking (playing around abviouslly) i dont think ill move back the rear diff, its long enough being double cab, and im moving the front diff maybe 2-3 inches front
or
need to play a little with the link calculator
so i hope i can make the habit of keep coming here! always a good place to learn things and get some input on work done :)

finally got the turbo! and the manifold to adapt the new one. so hopefully my friend said that he hopes that this upcoming week he will be starting the engine again (after 2 years :P )
I decided that f* it so im probablly going to save to run bypass front and rear. the idea is to get 2.5" king coiolvers 12" travel with internal bypass and 2,5 shocks with bypass for the rear to help on the coils :)
next week im ordering the 16 loints im using for the 3-link and 4-link already got the tubbing material for the links :)

thanks! and yeah it is, the suspension is working amazing... i might (most probablly ) be upgrading on the 4 corners the suspension, Front: King 2,5" coilover w/res. and w/ internal bypass. Rear: Coil Spring Susp, and King 2,5" shocks w/ bypass and res.

thats why its all bolt on, i knew it was a temporary setup because ive always wanted 4 link it.....
But so far rain haven't let us work much on the truck but some progress made at least while we make room in my friends shop for my truck....intake and exhaust manifold are in, some things needed to get fanned got here so finally setting things up, need to rotate the turbo a couple degrees so next week we might be hooking a battery and starting the engine to see how it goes, and hopefully order the rod ends
Going to have some nice space upfront after the radiator inter cooler and fan clutch are gone xD
Some other unnecessary stuff is going away also to make room for the shock hoops :) (good that battery is also going to the rear
So finally small steps but it's a progress it's all into getting into rhythm
