I hate you! lol j/k I had a 70 chevelle malibu 2 door with the 307/2spd power gilde. a few years back. Didn't have time or money to do what I wanted so I sold it. GL with the build and I will definitely keep an eye on this!

how hard is it to restore a car like that? always wanted a 1970 Chevelle ss 454 the only way i could afford one is if it was if it was about to fall apart.

Good looking start. I've been working on a 65 Mustang for a couple of years now (very slowly) and my plans change constantly. Looking forward to more progress on this car. What are you thinking for the motor and trans? Remember, real muscle cars have 3 pedal.

Project looks damn good. Someday I want to build a Chevelle for my dad. He used to a 72 Malibu (I think). Be sweet to give him his old car back.

No kidding. A true 454 SS is like a diamond in the rough... you find an original... it doesn't matter what shape it's in. Probably at least $10k.

Im not sure really on anything yet, I do want a 4 speed, and Im thinking I want 500+ ci.

I havent decided on paint as that wont be happening that soon. Im looking to get the car "freshened" as far as suspension, brakes and all that is concerned before I build a motor or paint the car.

I think my smoking problem is headgaskets, so the first order of business is to do the brakes and get a gasket kit so I can put those in also.
