Ok So I am finally back home from traning in the states. And i am on summer vacation so I should be able to get this thing to the point were it is almost a roller. I have been able to get some stuff done. Anyway on with the pictures.

So I started to take apart the gauges and fab my own. This is the template. the only thing tho is that the drill press I have is pretty small and trying to cut a 2 1/4 hole is not possible. So I need to take it in to work and use the drill press there.

And here is the rest of the gauge cluster.

Here is the bottom of the truck so I can work on the boat sides.

And then here is some videos just showing the motor mounts and the back half of the frame.

Back of the truck.

I think I am going to video my progress from now on. Its alot easier.

Anyway let me know what you guys think.

Cheers
Chris

Spring 2013. Now that work is slowing down I should be able to make some good progress on it.

No my plans are to have a marine grade amp and speakers and run it off my iPod. This way the cd does not skip. Plus there is not radio signal were I go.

I actually just have my ipod running straight into an EQ then to my amp right now. I think it sounds better than it ever did with my headunit running through RCA's only.

Ok... So I am almost at the part of the build were I can rest it on a set of axles. As of right now I have none. But i am going to run Dana 60's period. i am not going to run Rockwells, or any other combination of axles. But I am having a bit of a moral delema... well more like my wallet is having a dellema. The Cheap side of me is saying bight the bullet and pay the $1500-2000 for a set of matching D60's. But I sat down last night at around midnight because I could not sleep and did a rough list of what I would need.

Axles $1500-2000
Locker $1000
Rebuild kit $250-300 Per axle
Spool for rear $300
Breaks Front $300 min
Breaks Rear $300 min
5.88 Gears $300 x2
Total $4250-4500 Roughly

On top of that I am not sure if I am going to run Coilovers, Air Shocks, or ORI Struts.

Coilovers roughly $500 Per corner $2000
Air Shocks $300 Per corner $1200
ORI Struts $500 Per corner $2000

OR

there is a guy on the local forum who is looking at parting out his Jeep. But this is what he is asking

- Front HP 60
Shortened, 4.88 gears Eaton Elocker, dual piston brakes, Dually hubs, NWFab high steer arms, stainless steel lines
Brand new Warn Prem lockouts, setup for 3 link and NWFab high steer arms for hydro assist or full hydro $3000

- Rear HD Dodge D60
4.88 gears, Spool, trussed setup for 4link, Disc brake conversion with Chevy calipers and Eldorado calipers(extra) $1500

- Humvee 8 bolt wheels stock backspace with Flattened Mag runflats, 37x13.5x16.5 Pitbull Rockers $1500

- 4 ORI ST struts 16" travel, extra set of stems $2700

So what do you guys think. I would really like to hear from some of the guys who have done full all out builds like this ( Beard ) your input would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Chris

I would build it if you have the time. There is the possibility of finding better deals if you build it to save money, but if you buy all that stuff then your out all that money.

Good point. But were I am in Canada it is going to be very expensive for shipping and then trying to find someone out here who will install a locker is near impossible. P had a hard enough time finding someone to install a spool in to a 3rd member for a buddy of mine.
