:stupid:...

and good luck

95offroadx 07-29-2007 02:56 PM

sorry guys!

The plans are

8" lift kit, 35" claws and so on

99ranger4x4 07-29-2007 03:23 PM

claws on a mud truck?

why not boggers?

2005Edge 07-29-2007 05:52 PM

claws on a mud truck? sounds like a mall crawler to me!

95offroadx 07-29-2007 08:02 PM

Well i was thinking boggers. BUT, 1.)I would need some flair to keep it legal. 2.) I drive this rig. It takes itself to the mud, up to my cabin's, it still need to be very streetable.
It already as l/s front and rear so it goes threw the mud pretty good. It has 33" pro comp muds now, I actually am lookin for a cheaper tire, maybe a kumho m/t

Well for suspenison. 8" skyjacker coils, Superlift drop brackets and extended radius arms, skyjacker brakelines, superrunner steering(needs to be worked for it to work with 8" coils.) The rear is just going to be soa + 2" stock ranger block with traction bars. Doetsch 14" travel shocks.

IM still workin on my hood getting it repair. It will be getting 7.5" line brake led tail lights(suicide doors), roll cage and harnesses.

It also needs a horsepower improvement sooo...
422 comp cam, 988 valve springs, asp crank pulley, ported heads and intake manifold. Those are just the starters, I really wanna keep the 4.0ohv after this tranny blows up again even though its been rebuilt with hd parts so it should take sometime i will put a c4 behind it. I figure i dont need od with 4.56's and 35's should be able to keep it at 65-70mph at 2.5k-3k rpm range. But with those power adders it should be able to brake those tires loose pretty easily.

your lifting it 8" and your worried about the tires lowering its streerability?

get something better than claws atleast...

Did you mean Streetability?

NXD 5150 07-30-2007 10:35 AM

Claws suck in the mud. There ok going forward but because of there thread design they don't do anything in reverse. If you want mud tires that are more streetable then boggers then go with TSLs or something.

exactly what i was going to say, you cant build a mud truck, esp a truck with 8" of lift, and expect it to be good on the road, so just get some good tires while your at it :eek13:

2005Edge 07-31-2007 09:30 PM

Might as well SAS the thing.

95offroadx 08-07-2007 08:58 PM

SAS are for *****s. Lol Not really. Well since after my plans are done this TTb will produce over 14" of travel

Im actually lookin for a cheaper tire ,claws are to pricey.

Lol maybe i should of worded it difference. This is going to be my offroad truck. Around here its mostly muddy trails. All the trails are atleast 15 miles from my house. My ranger isnt ready to tow this thing yet, so it needs to be driven to the trails.

8" of lift is nothin if it is setup properly. Its even gonna have a "swing set steering" well its just a modify'd superrunner steering kit.
It acutally will sit at around 7" after the springs settle

INT3RC3PTOR 08-08-2007 03:26 PM

get a nice set of Dueler A/t's...

95offroadx 08-08-2007 07:08 PM

needs something more aggressive.

Leaning towards the new kumho venture m/t. I need to get this truck inspected first. Thats what im workin on right now, that and the hood.

pro5o 08-09-2007 09:20 AM

Aaron from alaska has those on his ranger and they do pretty good

95offroadx 09-01-2007 12:59 PM

bought some tires last night should be here tomorrow, and mounted tuesday or wednesday...

Oh.... they are 37x13.0r15 Boggers 50% tread left got them for $500. Should be a great tire to build my truck around.

Dont know how they are going to fit only with a 5.5" lift. haha, but there should be a d44 under there after i get the 37's. But its only gettin lifted 2-3" more. It will be Soa front and rear with yota 4 runner 3" leaf springs in the front and 2" blocks in the rear with homemade traction bars.

95offroadx 09-02-2007 10:38 AM
