99offroadrngr's 2004 Ranger Thread
As many of you know, I bought a 2004 4.0L with 56k miles on it recently. Finally getting to make the thread for it. Basically, it will be a newer version of my 99 that i wrecked aside the new seats (I did 1 mount today lol) and a full length center console
the 99
How I bought it:
Frame is undercoated!
Threw the modded 06+ tails on the next morning before work
Another shot of them
Installed my Aeroforce Technologies Interceptor gauge. Its a less bulky and more expensive scan gauge but I love it. Not a fan of a bulky rectangular gauge.
The MPG shows 30.xx because i was off of the throttle. when you let off of the throttle, the gauge doesn't calculate it towards your average MPG which is pretty cool.
As you could see in the first pics, the valence was all faded so I quickly masked everything up and sprayed it with Krylon Fusion for Plastic (Satin black, gloss is gross). I had to work later in the day so i didn't feel like taking the valence off
did the grille while i was at it
Done with a new fog light too (idk why the drivers side one looks weird in the pic, doesn't look like that in person)
Got bored one day so i brought one of my 33x12.5R15 bfg KM2's home from my uncles place to test fit it because I don't have flares on this truck like i did on the 99. They're on mickey thompson classic 2 15x8 with 3.313" back spacing
I did window tint because i hate peoples lights in my mirrors (yes i did it myself)
06+ emblems
Headlight mod
and a quick pic of what i did today, i got 1 mount on my passenger seat bolted in. I may do the other front mount tomorrow but i doubt it lol Along with the bolts they'll be some welding just to make it more secure
truck pic from today before transporting a bumper to ship out
The lift, wheels/tires will be on sometime in June along with the OHC, center console, and seats if i finish them. I may keep the interior the way it is, my seats look brand new.
