On another note the build is going to be on hold due to lack of time, looking to buy another truck thats actually usefull for life things and just rock the leafs on the ranger until this winter

I'm obviously bias. But I love my 7.3,motor has given me zero issues for the 50k I've had it. Now has about 240k on the truck. Find a clean one near you or cali. Obviously not the most powerful new thing on the planet, but will last and is super easy to maintain.

i put an offer down on a 2011 cummins 3500. if that falls through i want to go check out some Dmax's when i get home next week. Ive given up trying to find a nice 7.3, they just dont exist here so im just going to get some comfy new truck with a warranty

Looking good so far! You should have bought a 6.7 Ford if you got a 2011 Cummins. I just have to rag on you a little there.

I agree a good tow rig means a lot when going on long wheeling trips. You will love your purchase!
