Hmm after a little research I see they aren't, but oddly enough. I worked at a ford dealer in 2004 and we had a SVT focus that was supercharged from the factory.
Nah.. there was never a Focus SVT that was supercharged from the factory. Maybe you're thinking of the JRSC, you might be mistaken and think it was factory but it wasn't.
Forced induction would be sweet but that is a whole lot more money than I want to put into the car. Its a nice car, and I want to make it a little funner to drive, but I have no intention of taking it further than an AutoX event.
So I'm placing orders for damn near everything I need to have the car back to stock. The front bumper is not perfect, and I'm not replacing the heated seat elements just yet, but around $500 of stuff has been ordered. :(
I might throw some mods at it (Short throw shifter, alum flywheel with stage 2 clutch, larger throttle body, poly rear motor mount, etc, just a few things to make it more fun to shift and accelerate) but not until the car is completely paid off.
So I have received all the parts I need, or damn near all the parts I need....
2 Moog front sway bar links
1 Motorcraft cabin filter
4 Motorcraft platinum spark plugs
1 Motorcraft PCV valve
1 Motorcraft valve cover gasket
1 Motorcraft clutch master cylinder
1 Ford OEM shift ****
1 Ford OEM bumper grill insert
1 Ford OEM bumper lip
2 Centric rear brake rotors
1 Hawk High Performance Street brake pads (front and rear)
2 Ford OEM foglights with yellow Lamin-X coating
3 Viton O-rings to fix the slow coolant leaks that SVT suffer from
Totally roughly $$604.72..
I hope to get the master cylinder, spark plugs, PCV valve, and brakes all changed out tonight, and possibly the cabin filter. Tomorrow evening I hope to get the O-rings changed out, as well as the valve cover replaced, using all new coolant and Mobil 1 oil.
I want to drop the car off at the body shop on Monday, to have them use all new hardware to mount the front bumper, its not "secure enough" for me right now, I don't trust it to go over 80MPH as it is. Some of the plastic hardware seems worn out.
Hopefully I'll also have time on Saturday to wash/clay/wax the car, and snap some pictures.
After deciding I wanted to go back to 2 vehicles.. I decided to sell the truck and SVT..
Sold the SVT today.
I don't really miss it yet. It is a fun car, however, I just felt that it was going to always be needing something. Besides, I'm totally upgrading to a truck that is almost exactly what I wanted, AND I will not be in debt near as much as I would have been.
