I may have missed it somewhere in the thread, but why did you switch to the mile marker hubs?

i bought an 8 lug D44(with flat tops) for 50 bucks and it had brand new milemarker hubs on it.

i installed them so i can destroy those and not the Ford ones that I cant find parts for.

Gotcha. I thought you had Warns on there and traded those for mile markers.

oh no, ive got 2 sets of the big 5" red **** Ford ones with the aluminum surrounding. These are not normal D44 hubs they take a 3/8" bolt, 6 of them to hold them on.

76 and 77 fords had this style hub, maybe earlier years too. Similar to a D60 hub actually several parts are interchangeable from mine to a D60.

rotors, outter knuckle, caliper, caliper bracket, maybe the bearings and inner spindle too. not sure though.

he cant flex it until the front cage is done

my axle came as a live axle, so i still have the factory drive slugs laying around for a worst case scenario.

lol yersh gonna be a few weeks before flex i think. but id rather go wheeling then flex it. if i flex it it will be to just check travel and make sure nothing is binding.

Im not sure if i missed this or not but is the wheel base shorter than what it used to be or did you keep it the same length as oem?

looks shorter but maybe thats because you dont have a bed on it any more haha

thanks! nothing wrong with too clean :)

i cant wait to get some experience out there, the stuff i have done is too easy. And I finally feel its getting to the point where i want it.

I plan to get some good wheeling trips in next year and little moding.

Plus we have been talking about wheeling for over a year, we need to meet up and go!
