Quasi242's RCD to DBR and other stuff

I will be interested in seeing what you come up with. Geoff says that this pack will pull 21" but I did some simplified CADD drawings and it looks to me like 19.5" is about the max. I guess we will see when I actually get the cage built and we can bump/droop test it. (We could not test full bump since I had the full pack installed.)

21" is capable when you notch the frame. dont beat on the factory shock mounts too much, i ripped the mount off and snapped a shock in half ha.
i would look into some FOA tripple bypasses, sure you could get some Link Killers but save some money and just spend a weekend or two doing some test/tuning and should be golden.

As for not beating on the factory mounts, that is my motivation to get the rear cage and shocks installed. For that exact reason, I have not really used my truck much.

I agree. No need to push it that far and be in a position where you have to replace leafs from time to time. I plan on limiting full bump at about 1/2" short of the frame. I can't wait for my shocks to show up so that I can get this done. Thanks for the bump!

I ordered a pair of 16" stroke 2.5" triple bypass shocks from ADS. ADS is a local company that has been producing shocks and shock parts for various companies for many years. ADS shocks are most similar to the King Race Series shock. ADS is the company that builds Ballistic Fabrication's shocks.

Sounds like the Ranger is going to be nice and fast on the dirt!

Yessir i put 1k down and am gonna have the rest when he is done with them. Im gonna be running just coilovers in the back for now and when i get more money im gonna be running a bypass in the back. I think we are strapping the rear at around 29" of travel. So any pics of the shocks you are ordering im interested to see what they look like. And making a bedcage is not hard at all even when you dont have a tube bender it was still easy. Any questions just ask i have a few pics too so you can see what i did.

I already talked to dave about those. We don't need 2.5" bumps 2.0's are more than enough since if your stuff is valved right you will rarely hit your bumps and never have to worry about overheating you bumps lol.

After talking to my fabricator, I am going to hold off on the bump stops until after we have the front and rear dialed in. Since the final stage in a bypass shock is essentially a bump stop, I may not need to add them. Only time will tell. Anyway, I picked these up today. 2.5" X 16" triple bypass shocks. Initial valving: 12 compression, 12 rebound, all three free bleed ports open.
Now I need to find time to get a cage built!
