The rebuild kit should include 4 of the silver metal slides and 4 of the rubber boots for the caliper mount bolts. I replaced all four of my rubber boots when I refurbished my calipers.
Also if you are planning on buying new pads they should come with the metal pieces. And a word of advice, makes sure before you put the new ones on you get every bit of the rust off because if you don't the pads won't slid properly and your brakes will over heat. (personal experience)

Rear tire carrier/bumper

Time for an update:

I added a rear tire carrier/bumper. The weight of 40'+ of tubing and 2-35" spares makes a huge difference in getting the rear end to cycle properly. I think it turned out pretty good. The design will allow for me to use the full bed if necessary (minus the spares of course).

That looks so awesome. I love how they're more tucked in the bed and not sticking out really far.

Thanks, I did it more for function than for looks. The further the tires sit out behind the axle, the greater the chance that the weight of the tires will cause the truck to fish tail in a loose turn.

Not much more. One of these days, I will shoot some pictures with the tires pulled out. It is the absolute truth, however that tubing does not go very far.

yeah for real, I think I used about 60-70ft in mine so far and I still need more in the rear. You eat it up way quicker than you would think. But now I have a much better idea of how much I will need for future projects

Nothing special. MB Wheels (Discount Tire) Model 72, 17"X8.5" 4" backspace. Best of all for a cast wheel, they are rated similar to most other non forged wheels but only cost $98.00/ea. My first 4 came with a $50.00 rebate, so $350 for 4 wheels!

Got rid of the 60/40 split bench and added a pair of Mastercraft Baja RS reclining suspension seats. Seats are mounted on a pair of Explorer Sport sliders for now.

My initial reaction is that it is much harder to get in and out of the truck because of the side bolsters. The side bolsters also make the seat a bit less comfortable than the stock seats. On the flip side, the bolsters make you feel much more stable in the car while cornering or traveling along a rough trail.

yeah once you get used to side bolsters they are awesome. I have been in a few buddys race cars with huge bolsters and you just feel so nice and snug. But its weird not being able to move around much, especially with the 5 point on

Not too bad. I had to drill two new holes (one per side) on the slider to match the holes on the seat, but the width was perfect. As for the base, two holes matched perfect, one hole needed to be expanded to fit the Ranger bolt, and one hole needed to be notched out because the hole did not line up. I will be welding on a new tab for the hole that needed to be notched out.

I am actually starting to get used to them. Although I still have not figured out a good way to get into the truck without sliding over the bolster. I wish that my truck had an OS handle on the drivers side.

i was looking to bolt up 2 plates
1 for the base and 1 for seat

and a centre pivot bolt

so the seat will rotate to the left ( driver`s side )

so it will be easier to get in the seat that way

Last Sunday was not the best of days. I took my truck out to return a couple of videos and was hit by a driver making an illegal left turn. I have not received the final word from the insurance, but I believe that the truck is totaled. Here are some pictures of the aftermath:

Dang matt this blows. I've been reading your thread off and on and your truck was looking awesome. Are they going to let you part the truck out?

Edit* did your driver side resi get punctured?
