350x200/350+200=127lbs/in

These numbers are all based off of estimates. Ill most likely have to change the springs later on to get the rate I want but these will work for mock up.
Where did you come up with these numbers? I know you said they were estimates but what led you to that?

Best way is to find a scale? I was reading on FOA's site about their calculator but I have no clue how much our trucks weigh on all 4 corners.

I did some estimating off a Explorerforum members (Dave) truck. I asked Dave measure his 14" King Coilovers at ride height. Came to be 28" eye to eye. Fully extended they are 38.5" long. This means that the shock is compressed roughly 10" at ride height. With his spring rate of 200/250, gives him a combined of 110lbs/in. This means for every 110 pounds of weight on the coilover it compresses 1 in. So if I do a calculation out that means each corner on his truck weighs 1100 pounds roughly.

10x110=1100

His truck is a 97 4.0, but the weights should be similar, since neither truck has the stock suspension anymore. I added 100 pounds to that and made my "estimate" 1200 per corner to be on the safe side.

theres ways to use a lever with a bathroom scale to get your weights.

did you check to see if his COs were angled at all and factor that in?

good point. i thought about that too.

bathroom scales??? wouldnt each corner need to be on a scale to get an accurate reading.

no, why would they?each corner supports its own share of weight and there are only four contact points to the ground...

you lift one side up an inch or two to get the scale under it the weight is going to shift to the other corners, i dont know how much but i know some will.

You only need one scale, and you just raise the other 3 corners with a 2x6 or what ever so they are the same height then you dont have any weight transfer.
