I'll figure out everything when I tear the transmission out of it.
That's the one thing that sucks about the manuals in rangers.. The slave sucks *** lol

No kidding. But at least the trans will be easier to take out this time thanks to the body lift. lol.

Yeah the body lift will definitely help. Plus you get good at pulling the trans so if something happens, you can take care of it quickly and not have to worry too much about it

The exhaust is the only thing that will probably suck.

I'm making some dowel pins too this time because I'm not about to blindly muscle that trans back up to the engine again. lol.

How much would you say the trans weighs? 80 lbs?

That's not too bad. But that being said, it's probably a pretty awkward maneuver to get the thing up there haha

It definitely is. A floor jack doesn't help because the bottom of the trans is rounded off. I remember trying to lift it up with the jack, holding it in place from moving, and trying to line the input shaft up with the clutch parts and he pilot bearing. It sucked last time. Dowel pins should make a huge difference this time.

Why not use some threaded rod screwed into the block that would allow you to slide the tranny onto the engine and thread in some bolts?

That's the plan. I just call them dowel pins.

Noticed a leak at the bottom of my radiator two days before the Ranger meet, so out came the old and in with the new:

And then a couple pics from the meet. I finally ordered a set of fog lights for the bumper as well. lol.

I parked next to him towards the end of the meet, and I kept confusing myself. lol. If you're not really paying attention, they almost look identical.

They are identical for the most part it appears. Fender flares are different, non-modded headlights/corners, different grille, different tires and different wheels, along with yours being an edge and his being a sport.

Perhaps someone is copycatting you!

New clutch set, pressure plate, slave cylinder, and pilot bearing were installed this weekend after the truck decided it didn't like going into gear on the way home from work Thursday. I'm glad it did too because my clutch was about gone.

I would, but I don't want to waste the money on a stage II and use it as a learner.

So I'm going through a weird phase right now. Said goodbye to the steelies and 33's. Now I'm rolling on Fx4 wheels with 31's. But I'm also running a 3/4 drop. So the truck is a complete cluster of crap. But there's light at the end of the tunnel and I'll be putting it back up in the air in a couple weeks. Got something else in the works to fill the void in my heart that a lowered vehicle would normally fill.
