I think you'll like it. It just eliminates a possible 4wd failure.

nice work! some days I wish I was 2wd just for more travel up front...then I remember that when I get stuck I can just switch to 4x4 and move on.

And yeah I never had one failure with mine and it's been through hell. Live axle eats up a few mpgs, but at least you don't have to worry about any vacuum this or that to fail on you,or have to get out and lock in the hubs.

Ugh i hated this the most on my first truck. First run out on the dunes I forgot to lock them so I had to stop right at the whoops to lock them. I lost Justin from my sight so i went fairly quick to catch up and I think thats when I blew out one of my pos KYB shocks that were on the truck at the time lol

I've been noticing the mpgs over the last few days, but I signed away my MPGs when I signed the papers for a Ranger with a 3.0. And then signed even more away when I put the 33's on.

I thought about 35's for a little awhile, but then I remembered my 3.0 and that idea went out the window.

Even 4.88s would be pretty good for a 3.0 and 35s. It definitely wouldn't be a dog

Re-gearing is no joke.. I got quoted $480 per axle.. for just the labor.

I had about $1100 in mine when I regeared the old 7.5. Got a much better deal this time, but it's still not a cheap job.

Truck is now body lifted. Pretty much got the cab and bed up on the blocks and called it a night. A few little things are done like the ground strap extensions and the steering shaft extension. Still gotta do most everything else tomorrow. But at least the hard part is done.

Typical body lift pictures:

They're too heavy, and they don't balance well. Thinking about going with a setup like this:

Nice! The back looks a lot higher than the front. Pulling a Downey in that pic where the cab is tilted haha

Body Lift - Done.

Gonna take the leaf springs apart for the 20th time tomorrow and remove the AAL to hopefully bring the back of the truck down closer to the front.

Also, brown santa brought me this:

Thanks Greg!
