lol your stock 4wd with stock suspension is so much higher than his little 2wd!

Its maybe an inch or 2 taller? haha

You can clear 33's with just a bodylift on a 2wd with coil spring suspension

I'm sure you've been told this before, but.... you get what you pay for. My first ranger I cut corners to save a few bucks. Later on every corner I cut started to break. I can't count the times I broke suspension parts in the middle of now where. Parts are pricey, but when it comes to suspension you'll want to make sure you're buying quality stuff. It will be cheaper in the long run as well.

Rancho's are good. Fabtech, Procomp and other shocks included in most kits will work. I run Deutsch Tech shocks (similar to Fox Shocks) on the rear mainly because I carry excessive weight.

Good to know - ill see if i can scrounge up some cash for the fabtech lift - guess that would solve the tire clearance, shocks and look of the vehicle. Looks like im starting a lift fund - hopefully i can get enough cash if not i guess i can always charge it lol.

Seems im more likely to save up for the 3" fabtech lift, but im thinking of getting 31's meanwhile - would they rub with stock suspension? how do i know if i have coilovers or t-bars? im thinking of getting the 31's and if it looks good just leave it like that. how bad/good is the drive with them on?

I decided to go with the Body Lift because tho its not as good as the suspension lift it provides the look im going for and eventually i was going to get it anyway hehe. I have since added the bed liner and the tool box, and am currently saving up for some BFG MTs or maybe something else, still not too sure what kind of tire im going with. Im also getting a little tired of the all black look and am thinking of taking some of you alls advise in getting some chrome in there somewhere, maybe the bumpers and maybe some diamond plate in there. I also want to add some kc slims i bought, but i dont know if it will fit on the inside of the grille with the stock grille i have now. i might get a billet grille and install the lights with that instead. still thinking of more mods, ohc will be put on sometime this month, im going to add some of the window vent shades and im going to replace my flag mirrors with some newer style mirrors and im working on fitting some mustang seats in on some custom brakets. here is some of the lifted pics - mind you i need bigger tires hehe - comments welcome - suggestions welcome as well - thanks

I forgot to add that i had my local tire shop mount some 33's on there and they cleared with no problem - so im definately going to go with 33s and im looking for an aggressive tire. what do you all recommend?

i live in a border town. People from mexico always want to work here in the states for better pay. I took my truck down to nuevo laredo to a guy that owed us a favor and happened to be a painter. he charged us 350 as long as we got the paint. he did an alright job, got more than what i payed for but still not what i want. Im used to a painter here that charges like 2k but does awesome work. Anyway, this guys work is decent and itll do for now. i could have gotten any paint i wanted, but i chose black cuz well black is black its all the same.

Update :

Ive been able to add a couple of things to the truck. I changed the mirrors from the flag ones to the more modern look ones, added a k&n drop in and a magnaflow exhaust. I added the wind deflectors and some 31x10.5x15r bfg ats. they were only 375 mounted and balanced. Later on ill go bigger. heres some progress pics

Wow,nice truck man!

I will also agree with a roll pan,Edge bumper and some newer emblems.

Maybe I missed it but I didnt see what motor you have? If its a 2.3/2.5 lets get a turbo swap going!

Thanks guys, yea the toolbox was originally silver/chrome but i sanded it down and painted the whole thing black inside and out. My truck is a 3.0l, but with the k&n and the magnaflow its gotten a little pep to it. I dont mind much about the power and speed, i got my 69 mustang in the works for that.

Im wanting to go higher on my truck. . . is there anything other than the fab-tech kit to go higher after the BL and what do i add to the back to make that higher as well? how much of a difference will an add-a-leaf make?

Na . . . i think the halo ones are the ones with the ring that lights up around the projector? if thats the case then no hehe. . . just a regular projector headlight, i really liked the projector part but i didnt like running the HIDs on them to much glare. They would light up the trees while i was driving along with everything else lol.

Thanks Im actually switching to an F250 now so i might just sell them on here. Not getting rid of the ranger but im going to put it back in service in our plumbing company so im switching back to just the regular clear lens for now.
