Walker Flexas Ranger.......yes another one!

Slow progress this week due to waiting on parts.
I did however do a tune up on the motor which needed plugs, cap and rotor much more than I thought. I got a 96 Explorer master mounted up for brakes. And I got the axle in position for mock up. I tore the Kings down and will be setting the up for 4" of stuff and 8" of droop.
I ordered weld on coilover brackets from Ballistic Fab that will put lower mount between upper balljoint and radius arm wedges.
I also got frame brackets,1.25 Heims, inserts are being machined to fit my 2" .250 wall tubing and Im having the stock radius arms machined down so they will slide into the tubing.I will do final welding once I have decided on what length they will need to be. I got 7º C-bushings that I hope will work out with a lengthened stock radius arm.
I test fitted my trimmed fenders also.
And built my tray for the primary battery.

I covered the fenders in painters tape then drew my cut line on the tape. With a very fine tooth blade I used my jigsaw to make the cut.Peel tape and it turned out perfect,
No real updates yet. Im at a stand still waiting for my trans to get back from shop. The guy rebuilding it got sick a week ago so Im waiting on him. My radius arms are at the machine shop getting turned down so I can extend them and still waitng on my heims and inserts.
I been working on little things like wiring the fuel pump ,running the fuel lines, cleaning up wiring and getting all the stuff like new wipers,overflow/washer resivor hooked up.

Well Im still waiting for my trans to get finished and still waiting on shop to finish my radius arms. Been working on little stuff in the meantime.
Fuel lines are now all ran. Going to be making a panel behind seat to mount all my relays and wiring for the fan, fuelpump and rear lights. Cutting a hole in corner of cab near where the battery is mounted and using a grommet to run wiring thru to each accessory.
I got my lower coilover brackets from Ballistic that fit the D44 knuckle.
Wish I had a "before" pic of my old Bronco2 front bumper but I forgot.I chopped it down and cut it up a little and refit it so it works on the Ranger now. Turned out great and the tube bumper looks awesome with the other tubing.
I bolted up the glass hood and got it all lined up and installed the pins. Had to add some fiberglass filler to one edge and after its sanded down I will hit it with some fresh white paint.

Well I pick up my trans tomorrow. Had to do a complete rebuild since all the thrust bearings were toast and the planetary was on the verge of coming apart. Caught it just in time.
Also waiting for my upper coilover mounts,CB stuff, trackbar mount and GPS speedo from Speedhut to show up. Been doing a ton of wiring and so far the fan, backup lights and fuel pump are all wired up.
Went and got a bunch of 1inch copper stuff and my buddy and me got the cooling system all plumbed. No leaks!
Here how it turned out following the path of flow...
Also finished the hood.
Starting to lay out the new gauges for the dash and start wiring in some tunes. Ordering one of these PXi50.2 | KICKER so I wont have a normal radio/cd player. Its waterproof and I have some nice 4x6 2ways to mount behind the seat.

I clicked that kicker link and it wouldn't give the item. I searched in google and images of your hood came up. That's pretty sweet for a radio. I know If I had a project car/truck I wouldn't want a radio either but the ability to use my iPhone. Is kicker the only company to offer a product like that?

Weird...the link just worked for me.?.
When I was building my turbo truck I didnt want a radio head unit in it and I called every car sterio shop around Toledo asking them if there was any way I could just use my Ipod with an amp to some speakers. I got the same answer from all of them,no. Said there wasnt anything out there that would do what I wanted....then almost the same day I finished that truck I found an ad for the Kicker unit in Four Wheeler mag! As far as I know Kicker is the only one making something like this.
