I guess that explains why we almost ran off the road lol.

I have a question that someone else asked me...

"why only two link it? it would probably flex better with a 4 link or even a 3 link setup."

31 spline i have just have not installed it, it needs overhauled BAD, once that is done it will go in. my front end was falling apart.... thus the SAS, the 28 spline can take a pretty good beating..

There's nothing wrong w. a 28 spline. I'm running it & on 41's w. no problems.

yeah that would be why, the new box is so much tighter, and looks 100X better. cant wait to install it.

two link because....

its simple
its good for road driving
still flexes good but handles well on the road
still durable
easier mounts on the ranger frame
still should flex really well, heck the stock ranger only has 7" of total wheel travel, i have that in down travel ALONE NOW!!!

and last but not least that is what i wanted...

i agree with that one, after the dunes my axle was still nice and straight, only thing wrong with it was the sand tore the axle seal...

2 link doesnt have very good geometry through out travel compared to a 4 or 3 link, but it will work fine in this application.

3 link is the best for a little more then average trail stuff and plus you could 3 wheel it around a corner. A 2 link will be fine if you doing mostly street driving and light off-roading.

Zach, that thing looks killer! Makes me want to get mine done over a weekend. I don't think I could wait 3 weeks for my truck. Picked up a Dana 30 this weekend. So it starts....

Bad pinion and caster changes through out travel. Where as with a 3 or 4 link the pinion and caster wont change as much when properly designed.

I went to Napa and they have JIC (i think) swivel connections that crimp on the hose, So i had them crimp the yota line to the ranger line.

I dont know if i got any pictures of it tho. you can kind of see it in this picture. the line is running away from the pump towards the engine, then it curves up to the ranger pump.
