I don't think you can register it in the states.

 

As long as I know you only have to prove that the engine meets the US emisions standards, since this 2.3L engine is the same in US models shouldnīt be any problem.

I just canī t remember the name of one member of the forum that registered a Mexican Ranger...

I think it has to do with safety issues not so much the engine emissions. Mexico has less strict laws on building vehicles.
