forum jump
I would like to make a suggestion to make the site easier to use. I have been a member of other forums for some time, but for other cars that I own. ALL of the forums I have been a part of have all been or used the vBulletin format just like you guys do. I have noticed something on the board that I think would help make the site more user friendly. certainly as you get to the bottom of a thread, you have to scroll up to the top to get back to the forum you want to go to next or even go back to the index for that forum. In vBulletin you can put a "forum jump" next to the bottom so that you don't have to scroll back up to the top OR you can even jump to any other part of the forum if you want to. Here is what it looks like in another forum I am a mod in. I hope this will help.

Once the newness passes and you get done looking at old threads and such, I can almost bet you will use the "active topics" on the top. i would imagine that's what most regulars use. you narrow it down to new posts in the last 3 hours, last 12 hours, etc. This is the only forum i am on with this feature and it flat out rocks.
PS- I'm not affiliated or a mod. Just offering a suggestion.

i disabled the forum jump, and do not plan to have it working on this site, but thank you for your input.
At the top there is a button: Forums
You can use that to search through forums.
Also, on the bottom of every page, there is a link that says "Top"...
You can hit that to jump back to the top.

I personally hope you are no help to me on this forum and, out of frustration at my dunderheadedness at not understanding your posts, you have to invite me over to your house to drink all that beer.

he's tryin to score free beer. don't share. Jus wonderin, why dont ya use the active topics link? It's really helpful to only get new topics, when you've read every old topic on r-f already like me haha.

But, if having you explain it in person to get at all that beer would be an option I'd claim ignorance at understanding your post.
Sorry...just a joke all around. Ignoring advise and wisdom is not something I would like to be accused of and if you've been hanging around automotive forums for a while your likely going to be a good source of info!
Well, I've got to go and bottle my batch of Irish Red. I'll post a pic of this process if anyone is interested...but then again, that is likely fodder for a different forum.
