did the parameters get changed on the signature? i am trying to change mine, where it says my 88 f-150 is for sale, to sold, and it's telling me that my sig is too many lines... what is with that?

Its to keep down clutter. Some people have huge sigs and its annoying.

true, but i was able to put it up at one point, and now i can't change it, i've only been on the site about a month... the thing that i find odd is if you look at your post, the number of lines given for your sig, which you definitely don't use, is still more than what i used, so it's not like my post is being stretched to be bigger to accommodate my signature...

Its because I have a bigger avatar which extends my post box down. I have the same limit as you though, the box just looks bigger.

Why do we need to know about your past vehicles anyway? I would put that information in your profile if you want people to know it. Just post the info on your current vehicles, and maybe some details of the Ranger in your sig. That will be well within the new signature limits.

who cares about any of the sigs if you want to go that route...who cares someone said something witty...If the guy wants to use his sig space to put his past cars let it be...dont ask for more space than allowed though...make it go horizontal if you want more room

Take the first 2 lines out of the sig and it should meet the new requirements.

Like so:

vehicle history, chronologically

89 ford mustang 5.0 5spd hb (parked)
87 ford bronco II 2.3L 5spd v6 (crushed)

89 ford f-250 4x4 5spd 460 cui (impounded, presumed crushed)
88 ford f-150 4x2 302 (for sale)
85 yamaha virago xv1000 5spd (my baby)
07 ford ranger fx4 level II 4.0L v6 5spd (purchased September 14th 2009)

I wanted to make a simple change to mine as well, and also saw that I'm now limited to only 4 lines. Almost decided to leave it as it was, because I liked it and only wanted to update / delete some info.
Personally, I like to sigs. They tell me, at a quick glance, something about the person and their vehicles.

Kinda sucks, but I don't moderate the site.

I've got a quick question...

How is it figured what a 'line' is? Lines appearing as the signature when you post, or lines in the edit box in which you fill out your avatar?

That means just my two small lines would not be acceptable...
