it is getting quite rediculas.....I get sick of wasteing my time when mods come behind me and delete it.......I am not the only one to notice it.....all mods and admin have been mass mailed about it with rude responses......

When someone post info for someone don't delete it.....for example, I posted in the new guys thread looking for Zach Stone.....I told him who to PM and it was deleted.......other have done the same thing in the same thread with theirs being deleted as well......that is one instance and it isn't just in the classified section........


Moderation is getting out of control.....I give it less than an hour and this thread is locked with some smart a$$ remark like "get over it".......this site is better than that and it is heading in the direction of other Ranger sites that are going down.....I think it is time for a revamp of mods.....after so long power goes to the head.....

Well that one should have been delated Matt lol. Theres been a lot of cases where post have been disappering, I wouldn't blame it all on the mods tho unless your sure. It could be server issues couldn't it?

There is a problem with the classifieds control panel. It used hold all posts for approval. The mods would go through and accept or reject posts. Apparently for some reason it is letting your posts go through yet still showing them in our moderation que. So if one of us rejects a post, it will look like we just arbitrarily deleted it. I just noticed this myself this evening. It should be a simple fix for one of the admins to get it the way it was before.

In the specific case you are having a cow about Maurice, the question was answered at least 5 times in a row. I accepted the most detailed answer and just rejected the others since they were unneccessary. You all know the classified section is the strictest of all when it comes to postings. There is a criteria and we try to keep it as short and to the point as possible. If that means some unnecessary posts don't go through, thats the way it is. Everytime there is something you don't like, you have a cow about how it is just out of control. Like I always say, if it just SOOOOOO horrible here, you aren't locked in. There is so little moderation, so few posts deleted, so little discipline handed down on R-F. The way you blow it out of proportion is comical.

As for you Matt, if you really think that was appropriate and shouldn't have been deleted, then I suggest you find another forum. You are the last one that should be complaining about anything considering your track record. Considering the law enforcement background of several people that run R-F, you might re-think being so vocal about your dislike.

 

i know right when you post in a classified it goes away
then comes back a few days later.. if it comes back after its reviewed...

 

ya they did that to the classified section but i just seen it happen in the snapshots section i went to post a comment about a 3 inch body lift with 33s and when i did it was gone and im not talking about the one that was in the suspension section either

 

Marcus, are you actually SEEING THE POST in the thread and then poof its gone? Are you hitting POST QUICK REPLY and you never actually see it in the thread?

 

Not having a cow.....why are you the only mod/admin who ALWAYS answers when someone complains about something and your only answer is "if you don't like it here, get lost"......

If the mods/admin don't want us to complain or make suggestions, then I would suggest getting ride of this section.....

They are there after you post them, then a few minutes later or at times a few hours later it isn't there.....doesn't matter what section it is in

 

no i hit post reply bc i was going to send him a link to the pics with 3 inch body lifts to him since i have seen 3 posts asking for body lifts and i have already posted on one of them that was in the snapshots section then another came up from another guy and then when i typed everything in and hit post it gave me an error and the topic isn't there any more

 

with the site update, the classifieds arent the same as they were

there are some bugs to work out


and Maurice, its ok to ask a simple question, but please leave out the whining and attacks. You act like you know whats best for this forum, and yet I have a feeling if we let you take over for awhile, We'd have more people complaining then we do now


You must realize everyday R-f grows, and it makes it harder and harder to be "easy going", There is a reason sites like RPS just throw out the ban flag left and right and lock threads with no reason, the Mods and Admins are just plain tired, and I am starting to agree with them. It is always the same people complaining or the same people starting problems, and if we single them out, we are the bad guys.


I appreciate you bringing this to our attention, but next time maybe link some examples because it took me awhile to find what you were talking about and all I see is a Members Classified post deleted the way it is supposed to be. Just because you post in there, doesnt mean you were the first one too, or doesnt mean it follows the rules of the section. As for other sections, it would have to be on a post by post basis and I dont see the threads you are talking about

 

I have no idea why random posts are disappearing. I can assure that none of us are arbitrarily deleting posts for no reason. Outside the classified section, the only time we delete posts is blatant stupidity and rule violations.


I fully answered your question in great detail. You are just choosing to only read and remember where I said the door is not locked.

We welcome and encourage everyone to report problems and ask questions. What I personally do not welcome is your attitude about everything you don't like. If your going to blow everything out of proportion and have an attitude every time, you can fully expect to get an attitude in return (from me anyway).

 

If the mods are getting tired, then it is time to stop being a mod......

 

Most likely that what the post that I personally moved from the general board to the snapshots board, and I left no re-directs, so when you went to hit reply the thread was not technically there anymore, but in a different section


its called routine site maintenance, and keeping threads in proper sections

If the OWNER of the site feels we need more Mods and a Mods is not doing their duty properly, he will act upon that. And last time I saw him reply, he was happy with the way things are run
