christian owned this site up until 6 months ago. he didn't want it anymore and sold it. there was a thread when the reigns were handed over but rick doesn't make much of an appearance.

 

Here's my opinion:

What a great idea for an investment. I wish i would have thought of it. Gentlemen and ladies. . . this is his investment/ property. He can do whatever he wants with the site. . . he paid for it! I say make money off the site. It's the American Dream. At least we only have ads that apply to Rangers, so don't *****! If you don't like the site or how is ran, then get the hell off the site and don't come back. This site is awsome, we should all feel fortunate that we don't have to pay to enjoy this site.

 

I like the changes... I may venture over here more often...

dangle that is a good way to put it. if you can't offer anything constructive. don't complain. especially if you don't pay for it.

i kno some of the people that are complaining pay and are contributors so you have a right since technically you own a share in a company, but there is a head man in all companies out there that have the final say.

 

Well the problem is if Rick pisses off all of the contributing members, then there is not going to be a site.

None of us that contributed have a share in anything. It was simply a DONATION to help with the upkeep of this website. Just because I am a Contributor I don't feel like a more powerful member than you because you aren't a contributor. Everyone here is equal except for the Moderators and Admin's who have responsibilities on this website. Instead of *****ing and complaining about the change (which is eventual BTW), how about suggestions for the website? I'm sure it would get you further than calling the owner a punk or threatening to kill his family. If that keeps up, maybe he'll sell it to someone else who really doesn't give a damn what happens to the website and posts ads all over the site. Then what will you do?

You know Rick has to be "politically correct" because he's the owner. But i don't. You're an idiot. . . . there hasn't been very many changes to the site. Me and many other contributors are still going to be here, so leave if you don't like it. But i understand that somebody always has to be a *****, and ***** about something. In the Marine Corps we would just beat your a$$. You're lucky you don't live near me.

 

I have to disagree. If it wasnt for the Contribs, then there would be no R-F as we see it now.

And your right, everyone is equal, there are just some that are Less equal than others....

And why can't we all ***** and complain? The way I see it, its our website. If none of us joined, or all of us left, then there would be no site.

 

i'm not b!tching tho. nor do i feel you are better then me since i'm not a contributor. you chose to contribute. i chose not to. i also said the whole stock holder comment since it seemed to be in context of where the conversation was going.

btw what did happen to alan? he had some good stuff for sale.

If it's our website, then why does everyone want this Christian guy to come back and own it again? It seems to me that since the website is under new management everyone has to moan and groan about him.

What would have happened if Christian had done the things that Rick has done, would you all complain if he did it? The way you guys are acting shows me that this Christian guy could do no harm.

And if you haven't noticed, Rick mentioned he would like the site to break even one day. That tells me that even though it's $15 to be a contributor he's still paying out of pocket to keep the site running. Sounds like dedication to me...

Most of the fuss is because of the consistent banning every time someone speaks out against Rick.
Sure some people could have stepped a little bit lighter, but a permabann is a little excessive IMO.

 

i wouldn't say dedication, it's an investment like posted earlier. he wants to get his monies back. right now it's in the red right? nobody likes seeing red. from the big three to the smallest business man. they want the money to be working for them not working for the money, right?

as for alon, no i don't need his info or a contact. at least not yet.

 

Only since it became public knowledge has the majority *****ing and whining and moaning has occured. He owned the site 6 months PRIOR to making any appearence in public. He was known in the moderator forums while we were making small tweaks and talking about site issues. Sure, there are some things on the site that I don't like that some of you don't like as well, but I can see the big picture. It's HIS site, it's HIS personal property, and he can do as he wishes to it.

There's something that some of ya'll need to realize..... In approx March 05, the best RBV site I knew of, Generation-Edge.com, was sold to an unknown, then taken off-line. ALOT of GE refugees came here, myself included. Now look at me and Beard, I'm a mod and beard's an admin. Be happy and thankful that this site is here after it's sale. Someone saw potential in the site and Christian wouldn't have just handed it off to someone without making sure it's going to someone who cares that wouldn't just take it offline.

The Moderators are not ****'s. They posted it and gave people ample time to change it. If they didn't comply with the change, it was done by a Mod. How hard is that to understand?

 

no i mean i know they arent ***** by any means and i honestly dont care about the avatar i have only uploaded one since i joined the site a year ago. the statement just seemed odd lol


oh and let me just add i have the utmost respect for the mods/admins on here i know they do a vital service for the site

Look at the text under Malydeen's screen name.... that'll make full circle for ya. lol. something like "damn ****'s editing my avatar" or something like that. We did give ample time(5 days) to change it before us(staff) start doing it for you. Gives us a ton of work. Malydeen obviously didn't read the announcement, but he surely read this one...

wow, i'm off the site for a wee while and come back and all this happened. glad to see it in good hands. it's r/f fault i dropped so much change into my truck lol. sure don't regret it. I sport huge r/f.com stickers on my truck so other ranger lovers will swing by here. this place rocks and i'm glad to see it's still going to be here for the long haul. rock on.
