The moderators, admins, and myself have been discussing changes to RF and the future direction of the site. We have all agreed that in the past we may have not all agreed or discussed changes that were made or people we affected. That is all to change, we are working to become more of a team and organize the site in a new effort. This new mission will not just take the change of moderators and administrators, we need the members to act on it too. some people may not agree with the changes some will rejoice. Please take the following changes seriously, I wouldn't be posting it if I wasn't serious.

1. I don't care what country/state/city you are from, if you are here to discuss RBV and have a good time doing it you are welcome. No bashing ones Government or their history or current location on the globe. Example: Just because they are from Kentucky doesn't mean they are rednecks or if they are from California doesn't mean they are any different than someone from Indiana.

2. No Personal attacks whether they are a joke or not. They are not welcome here.

3. Report any posts that break the rules, its pretty easy to do and it will be taken care of quickly. Its a little Icon in the upper right of the post. Looks like this.

These 3 things we would like to see the RF community improve on. The mods and admins will be watching it closely.

Other than that I plan to move the site soon to hopefully a better server. If you have any concerns whatsoever please to not hesitate to contact me via PM. I am more than happy to help and try to be as fair as possibly in any situation.

 

We can still argue though right, i guess i should use the word debate but i have recently debated in a thread no personal slander or offensive language or content on either mine or the other two members post is that ok?

Ok, jw cause i read a lot of the old threads and i have seen like 10 guys with banned over there avitars, and i havent read a derrogatory post from them , i suppose the posts have been removed but i was just wondering . just dont want to get banned for something i didnt know. lol Cuz RF rocks

 

Thats great Zach. R-F is by far the best Ranger forum on the web. Just yesterday, I was looking threw some old pages that I've printed out, and realized how much $$ I've saved over the last 2 years by searching and asking questions. To say that the members here have been helpful would be an understatement. So here's to R-F

Zach, what about the War section? Is that still the "almost anything goes" section?

 

I see no reason that members need to demeanor or belittle other members in that section either. Rules will still apply there. That section is for Religious and Political discussions. We realize this will get heated from time to time. We are going to monitor it, this section may or may not stay. Its under discussion.

Im assuming that most of the issues arise in the religion/politics forums. I never got in on the password for the section so I havent seen whats going on in there lately. before when it was an open forum, it was entertaining... but really not necissary for Ranger-Forums. honestly, I dont even mis it.

Im sure it would make you and the other mods jobs much easier if we just got rid of those topics all together.

 

It would but it also helps bring the group together more. Makes the site more personal.

 

sorry if i messed up. i come on every once in a while but sometimes i spam a bit. wont happen no more. know the feeling. i run a forum as well.

 

The mods generally delete a majority of these posts, there is really no need for everyone to revisit them, and potentially have arguments resurface.

But I will do my part, I know I havn't been the best, but in saying that I have usually said negative things in retribution to thing that have been said to me. But I have been childish I know.

BTW, please keep the war zone, there are few other site that have it and I enjoy debating things with other more right wing people. Gives you a sense of the other side.

As for having the war zone or not I would say keep it for now, things for the most part have been pretty civil in there.

I know these rules have always been here, it's just about time they are being ENFORCED.....even in the "War Zone". There have been some good debatable threads in there, but like always, a select few ALWAYS turn it to personal attacking and derail the thread.

I've also noticed an "absence" from a few members. Not sure if it's voluntary or mandatory but it's a good sign. Glad to see that the Mods/Admins are finally stepping up their roles and putting the rule hammer down.
