97 4.0L V6 OHV needs more HP

Hi I just joined the site and I need some help on what will fit my 1997 Ford ranger XLT 4.0 V6 OHV 5spd. Im looking for more HP, Im turning it into a NASCAR truck. I've done throttle body, air filter, cat delete w/ flow master 40 out one side. I want to keep it N/A so no super or turbo charger. I want a better tranny, intake manifold, heads, etc. I am also open to interior options as well.

Like everyone else, I think not. I'd rather have the v8 with the mustang

Maybe posting in the proper section would yield more positive responses. x4 on the v8 comment.

You traded your ranger for something that has a v8 and a gutless one too, so don't come at me knowing what makes power and what doesn't.

This threads going downhill. If you want to keep your ranger the most economical means of gaining hp is through a 5.0 swap. Its a proven swap that many people have done, including myself.

Theres more aftermarket support for a 5.0 than a 4.0, stronger tranny that can be built up too.
