site rules......

since this is a "family" forum, i think we ALL need to re-read the site rules....

the swearing is getting out of hand.......espically with the newer members....i have asked a few of our newer members to edit their post in PM's because of their language......some have changed, and some are ****** about it and refuse to clean up their post.......i have even been a culpret about it, but some of the language is greatly offensive.....

Just a suggestion....trying to do my part to help the forums stay a "family" atmosphere.....

This site rules because of the site rules...

(and the enforcement thereof)

Well, I hope folks can have some respect. Ordinary profanity is less troubling to me than swearing by God's name -- being as I take such things somewhat more seriously than most.

But I also recognize my standards are not everyone elses. Overall, I think most people, most of the time on here do pretty well.

It's a sad phase of the young that they really think it's neat to be ABLE to swear freely for awhile. Most of us grow out of it, but almost all of us did it at one time or another. It just seems to be in excess in some of the younger folks.

Time will tell, lol -- but they're still welcome. I'm sure most of them are good folks, and later on they may actually have more respect for others and tone it down. That's the usual progression we all go through -- most of us anyway, lol.

Everyone appriciates your efforts im sure....I am also quite confident the moderators are doing a very good job of controlling the forums, and many people along with the moderators probably will agree with me, everyone has there own interpertations of "Swearing", so from what i gather from the "Rules" unless its raceist, it could create quite a conflict on how people interpet "Swearing", because im also sure if its offensive the forum **** them out anyways. But everyone im sure will be glad to take a refresher on the "Rules" of a private forum.

Edit: And myself i think by you generalizing "others" as "******", to me is quite offensive not to mention insulting, and if this is a family oriented forum and your trying to enforce this issue, Ide think youde go about doing it in a more professional manner. I mean jeeze.

form for who? not me, i put my 2 cents in about this topic lol....now your just wasting my time....as n3elz said "some take it more seriously then most", im not one of them obviously you are, so, my recomendations are take it with a grain of salt guy and i searched and that i could not find a form of swearing unless your preching your religion to others. So, like i said, others interpet it differently, obviously you do. And as i told you myself i dont go around cusing profusly so, all i was doing is expressing my first amendment, not preaching religion or using the gods name in vein, so i see no problem with it. And as i see it, your the one being a "*****" about the subject, see, now isnt that offensive....Practice what you preach...Im done here lol

I can't tell you how sick of and tired I am of seeing users posting to n00bs to use the search option instead of answering the question. I don't care if the question has been asked before. It needs to stop. The moderators will point the user to the search feature. And this is just one example.

I'm not the only one who is tired of this. I have had discussions with members (new and old), and the mods and admins of the site.

I am not instructing the mods and admins to delete the posts at this time, but if it doesn't cease and desist, I will. Let the moderators do their jobs, that's what they are here for.

This is NOT open for debate. If you don't like it, don't voice your opinion to me, because I simply don't care.

i know thats not EXACTLY what is brought up here, but if This site needs a pottymouth police to start cleaning up the board, im sure Maurice will be first in line

So please, leave Moderating to Moderators, and if you feel it is out of control, contact your friendly nieghborhood Moderator to help, dont play big boss and handle it yourself, because its not YOUR JOB
