he wants to be able to see an image, hosted somewhere else(that possibly does not allow hotlinkinking, or to keep it from turning into an [x]), and attach it directly as an attachment on a post, without saving it to his harddrive, first, and then attaching it from his local folder(s)...

neil, try uploading a pic into the ftp folder i gave you on my site, then try and attach it, using the url?

I might be getting a movie camera soon or at least borrow my sister's when I break out that REVO so I will be using that FTP Thomas

hehe, its friday, my brain is thinking weekend already.
i finally figured out what you were trying to do. I tried it, but said it wasnt valid image.
then i saw christians post, hehe
oh well, back to my baked chicken feast!
