Icon13 4 wheel parts does it again!

So, Ive been looking for a winch and I found what looked like a great deal for one on 4wheelparts.com

I order it and set it up for an in store pickup to save on shipping. 2 days later, I get a call from the store manager who left me a message saying that my winch wont be available until end of May or June!

I call the store back to cancel the order and the guy that answered the phone said that was weird because they actually had my order all ready to go at will-call. So, I drive all the way down to the shop to pick it up today... guess what? It wasnt there, and they told me that it might be back in stock by next week, but more than likely I wont get it until June because there is a list of people that have it on back order.

WTF is wrong with 4 wheel parts? This is the second time they have tried to screw around with me, and its the same run around everytime. Every employee that I have dealt with always tells me something different.

Just thought I would vent on here and try and convince you guys that 4WP is not a good company to do business with... avoid them if you can!

yeaaaa
4wp pissed me off AGAIN today.

last week i got hubs, just in case for this weekend..
today i went to return them, and he was like "there's a 15% restocking fee"
me "i've never been told that, i needed them just incase i broke the ones i had."
then i said "so i should have just broke them to avoid the restocking fee?"
him "what do you mean? we dont really... sell spares"......???

.. Its what i did a few weeks before, i broke one, bought another set, returned the broke ones for my money back.. no issues.

i *****ed enough to get all my money back.. but damn, i've broke ONE set and they treat me like i've been ****ing them over.

I was gonna price some tires, but i decided some other company could use my high dollar purchase more than them.

... d bags, only problem is idk where else in town i can warranty my hubs.

idk how they stay in business. i wish there weren't so many people with small ***** that wanted a huge lift and 20s, 4wp would go under soooo fast.

^^^ yeah, the customer service is a joke.

I forgot to mention the attitude the guys in the store had. They basically refused to help me until i went through every spec of my truck. They wanted to "make sure" the winch was even compatible... I was like, hey, its a WINCH! It doesnt matter what sized engine my truck has lol. I was going to totally lie and say I had a Hummer or something...

Anyway, i dont think 4WP is necessarily a bad company as a whole, but they hire retards and that sucks. It seems both times I attempted to do business with them, it was a bad experience as a result of $hity customer service.

shoulda said you had a civic and you were gonna bolt the winch to the middle of the hood..

if they ever pull that **** on me I'll say something like that..

orrrr when i go in for tires
"whats it going on?"
"an accord"
"what?"
"you heard me.. do you want my money or are you gonna be a *****?" haha

hell last time i was in there to get my MTZs they were like "a ranger huh? how much lift?" i was like.. idk, its sas'd?

i should go price out some 40s and see what they say.

yeah you have to play 20 questions every time you ask for something.

just don't worry about it and let me buy what I want, if I wanted to know how much lift I need to fit a tire I would ask.

he asked me about 7 times if I was sure 15" rims would fit on my '03. I told him: "it came stock with 15" alcoas"
he says: "are you sure? because our computer is saying that the rangers came with 16" wheels"
I was like : "are you ****ing kidding me? Im pretty sure I can tell what size the wheels are. I think the 31"x10.5"x15"!!! gave it away? hmmmm"

I swear the guy was dumber than a box of hair!

then better yet when I told him what size tires I needed (32"x11.5") he asks me what amount of lift I have. I said "none yet, Im going to crank the T-bars"
there was about a 10 second pause and he said "ohhh... ok"

Yeah, I orderd a new set of rims and when they arrived via UPS I opened the 2 boxes. In each box there was a 5 lug and a 6 lug. So I called the store in Indianapolis and the guy was like "we dont really deal with online orders here, the California place is like a different company". WTF, are you kidding me? Eventually they got it set right. I took the two 6 lugs in and they somehow had the 2 5 lug wheels I needed, even though they didnt order them.

I can't complain a whole lot about our 4wp down here in WPB. They are good guys and are pretty helpful. Our wheeling club also gets anywhere from 10-20% off parts except for Optimas and Warn products.

I allways just call in my orders and had them shipped to me never had a problem untill I last summer when I got my 35's they gave me a bunch or crap wouldn't sell me the tire/wheel combo I wanted. So I told them to F** off and just got them mounted and balanced from another vendor when Bloom finaly rolled around.

UPDATE:

These bastards still decided to charge my credit card for my original order EVEN after i canceled over the phone AND in the store when I went in to pick up my order that wasnt even there!

They are suposed to charge you for will call orders placed on the internet when the part was available for pickup or was in transit to the store fro the warehouse or whatever...

My part was suposedly on backorder which is why i canceled... today, i check my card this morning, no charge... 5 minutes ago I check again (dont ask why lol) and there it is... $499 from 4 wheel parts.

Called them up and the guy on the phone said he couldnt help me and put me on hold. Been on hold for 15 minutes now. God this pisses me off!!!!

Ordered a set of tires a week in advance to be able to pick them up and have them installed in CO Springs (500 miles from home). So, I show up for the appointment and they say the truck hasn't arrived. No big deal right, the truck shows up and no tires. So I called the mail order company and got the runaround for about 2 hours and never found out where the tires were at. Come to find out the tires were not even available any more and no body had them.

The tards sold me tires that they didn't have and were not going to have. The store didn't seem enthusiastic about helping either. They "tried" to help but the soonest they could do it was the next day or monday.

Went to another store we used before and they got my tires same day even with the odd size 33X10.50R15.

Needless to say, I won't screw with 4WP anymore cause first they sell what they don't have and second they wouldn't know if they had it in the first place.

Not to put anyone down:

I think its just yoru select store with some crap management...

I've got a 4WP I go to all the time out in Portland area, No problems whatsoever.. I order up online, have it shipped for pickup at that store, they give me a call when its in - I go down and boom, I've got it in my truck 2 minutes later..

Has always been like that, been through them dozens of times throughout various rigs.. You guys just have some uber bad luck :-(
