Digitalliquidators.com

Pros
  • free shipping on first order
  • great prices
  • easy to locate items on the site
  • detailed info on cameras and other things
Cons
  • they call you up after you order to try to sell you more things
  • they annoy the hell out of you when they call.
  • they tell you what your going to need for the camera and try for hours to convince you to buy it from them
  • item doesnt ship until they call so if your not home or dont answer then your gunna wait another day

Havent gotten my camera yet so i dont know about shipping, its supposed to be here on Friday but i still havent gotten a tracking number.

--Website-- 10/10
--Prices-- 10/10
--Sales People-- 2/10
--shipping-- N/A
--Overall-- 8/10

All your cons are usually tell-tale signs of a scam operation! And if you look at the feedback at ResellerRatings.com, it doesn't look good at all. I think you're being excessively generous giving an overall of 8/10 considering you haven't even received your order!

Ah! If you haven't received the merchandise, there is DEFINITELY NO WAY you can write a review. Sorry, but you were a bit premature. Fill us in if/when you get the merchandise and also we'll see how they handle returns if it becomes necessary.

I'm with Colin: their behavior sounds questionable.

i read the first page of those reviews and almost all of them were because of the phone call to get you to buy more stuff. sorry for posting it early, i just felt like posting up a basic review now and adding the shipping review later

Okay, we know you meant well -- it's just better to be cautious with a new vendor, especially when they are so agressive.

This is a prime example of what I mean. Basically what they do is buy gray market (directly imported stuff) that does not have a USA warranty. They then open the box and remove all of the accessories. So batteries, chargers, even software and manuals in some cases. They then sell you the camera only at a very low price. You think you're getting a deal. But then they call you up and try to sell you the accessories that THEY took out of the box!! It's a scam and it's a well known one. In the end you wind up paying at least as much as you would have from a reputable place.

Save your time and effort and just buy from a reputable dealer. You'll be happier in the long run. Trust me, I've dropped > $2500 worth of photo gear over the Internet over the last few years! You can still get a great deal from a reputable dealer..

I wish you the best, but I don't know how you can give a positive rating w/ a straight face..

He was just excited, and probably young enough not to have made all the mistakes you and I have, Colin, lol! Even though we may not have made that mistake, most of us have probably been too enthusiastic about something, to our later regret.

I understand. Just trying to point out why I find this reseller suspect for the rest of the class. I hate seeing people get screwed via the 'net..

Don't be sorry to say it! I'm very very happy to hear that I was completely wrong! I've just heard of far too many people being ripped off over the Internet. I suppose I'm becoming a bit of a cynic.. My apologies..

Out of curiousity, whatdjah git?

Awesome! Let us know what you think of it once you get a chance to really play w/ it. I love the Canon A series cameras. Were I to do it all over again today I'd probably get a Canon A85 or 95 as my first digi. Those cameras are so flexible!
