Dude, Where's my customer service?

Alrighty, so after my mid-term today, I go to purchace a new keyboard and mouse. (Mine aren't working anymore.) I go to a few places, and compare prices etc. I get NO help from people at Office Max or Office Depot, and stroll over to Circuit City. They help me out, but they have things so messed up over there, they say and show things that aren't incuded with your purchace. (Wireless mouses with charging docks that DON'T come with the keyboard.)

Anyway, I spend like $20 more than I wanted, but finally leave. Kinda pissed off, I go to Taco Bell for some food.

I order: 2 Cheesy Gordita Crunches and a steak quesdilla. Easy enough.

I get...2 regualr tacos. My mistake was driving off thinking that it was put together with someone that has a higher education than 3rd grade.

I get home (to my $45 a month enclosed garage at my new Apt. complex...it's still broken. 3 days I've waited for them to come install ONE ****ING bolt. thats another story.)Not to mention my $500 tonneau cover is sitting inside because it is a peice of ****...and that company is too cheap to send me a new one/ replacement parts.

Anyway, I call Taco Bell and barely get a word in before I get a bunch of Spanish on the other line, along with laughter.

Now, I'm pissed.

I drive back there, ask them nicely to make my food again. I was nice, I swear!

They finally get it right, and now i'm here.

My question is: Where the hell has customer service gone? Out the bloddy window. I will GLADLY pay more money, for someone who actually giuve a **** about me purchaing their product, and allowing them to keep their job.

Now, I've had fast food jobs before. They are easy. I've had retail jobs. They are easy. They suck, but they could be run by a 5th grade blind kid.

I have only delt with one company that has been helpful. Jusnes Modified. No way am I trying to advertize or anything, he just will help. My brother's company(which I handle to customer service stuff) is good at that as well.

Tell me, where is one company, that actually prides itself with HELPING the customer? I thought that was supposed to help them,?

I'm ****ing sick of it.

/End Rant/

Now I'm off to send in my $350 iPod because it's not working, and I've had it since December.

I feel ya man, I'd rather pay for customer service than go cheapo and get nothing. Products that are mostly mass produced have problems and sometimes break- OK I understand that, but why do I have to suffer paying full price for a piece of crap. Any Company should be able to take the crap parts back and get a replacement from the vendor. We do that here at my store, with a smile, a genuine smile. we value our customers... they are keeping us fed.

I like to think I have a top notch work ethic, I get my job done before anything else, and I've never called in sick in 6 years of retail. It's not hard either, if I don't work I dont have money to play on my days off...

I hear ya...I'm having that kind of day too.

After work I go to UPS to ship off an OHC to Canada and the workers there have NO idea about the customs forms that I'm supposed to fill out.

I go to Zales jewlery cause they charged us an extra 165 bucks ontop of the quoted appraisel price and I get a lot of "im not responsbile" "I wasn't working at the time" and so on....

I'm currently on the phone now with my GF's dermatalogist who can't seem to figure out how to read a simple insurance form, I've been on hold for a good 15 mins. I'm on hold as I'm typing right now.

Then after this phone call I've got to call Crutchfield and tell them that my Sirirus sat is cutting out like crazy. Lets see how far I get with those jokers.

Customer service doesn't mean dick anymore.

Crutchfield should be helpful. While I doubt they can help diagnose a reception issue by phone, but I bet they will be happy to accept the return. In fact you know you already have the return shipping label in the package they shipped?

I feel ya on the lack of customer service issue.

However, you should be glad you only pay $45.00 a month for your garage, garages in my neighborhood here in so. cal go for at least $100.00 a month.

Yea, really? Good to hear. Wasn't in the mood to call tonight after all the other crap. Took a nice nap instead and will call them tomorrow.

i feel the same way. i go into napa for a transmission coolant line with my little brother. and the guy at the counter is being nasty and cussing in front of my brother(if it was just me i wouldnt mind but my kid bro is 8 and i hate stupid people around him). so i leave and tell him that i will never make a purchase at his store again. the other stores in twon were closed and i needed tha part, so i had to wait until the next day. so i go over to federated auto(the guy i bought my truck from works at federated) . at federated i guy two guys to help me and they were both kind and helpful unlike the guy at napa. i went back again today and got brake lines for the truck. i brought in the piece and they gave em the adaptors and all the parst i needed right away without giving me a speach about how i should have a pro do car work......even the pros started somewhere. so i got the parts and the parts i needed. some places are better than others and that is just how it is.

Well i called Crutchfield and they said they don't carry my model anymore..at the time I bought it I had the option of buying the newer model for an additional 50 bucks, but I opted for the older one.

They said I had to call Pioneer directly and get a new attenna. So I called Pioneer and they said they aren't responsible and since Crutchfield does not carry the older model anymore, and its still under a years warranty, they have to provide me with the newer model, free of charge.

So I called Crutchfield back and gave them the happy news...

They said they would call me back in 10 mins ... I'm glad I didn't call them yesterday cause I would have been more pissed.
