I want to buy a winch to put on my grill gaurd... Since i am not getting lockers right away i figure that i should prob. get a winch..For me and so that i can pull someone else out.. Im looking at getting this one but im not sure... any suggestions please help.. im not sure how much pulling power i will really need..

I have a mile marker 12,000 on my sploder sport and it pulls me out of anything so far. But If your looking cheaper I know a few guys running the smitty built 8,000 pound ones and they love it. at 299.00 it is a great deal.

 

yeah the smitty built one is pretty nice.. i wouldent hook it directly to your brush guard.. i would get a front mounted reciever and use that. other wise your gona rip that bar off if you get really stuck. you could also fab a bumper..

 

yeah.. ill just have to spend the money on the mount.. lol

 

I've got the MileMarker E9000. I've had it for quite a few years now and love it. I've never found it to be too weak......my biggest problem is finding a way to anchor myself when winching out my buddies, lol.

strap your selfe to a tree lol, or anchore it around around some trees, get more leverage.

 

Yeah that's what I do, but for some reason, my friends like to play in the mud holes that aren't near any trees, lol.
