Icon14 Diablosport 7157 Tuner for 07-08 Ford Ranger!

I have owned several Diablosport tuners for my many Mustangs and when I found they made one for the Ranger, I just couldn't resist! I bought mine only for about $320 shipped, it arrived in 4 days and it couldn't have been soon enough. I just bought a 2007 Ranger XLT reg cab, 2.3 duratec automatic. It was "sluggish" to say the least with a heavy Undercover brand bed cover, class 4 monster aftermarket hitch, full size spare and a original owner that was very "gentle" with it. Well after some almost 10 second 0-60 second runs, I had to try the Diablosport... If anything to get it on par with the very impressive 5 speed duratecs. Here is my findings: Very nice transmission difference! Way faster acceleration times (3 seconds faster almost to 60mph) and a new, sporty feel to the very boring slush box in the Ranger... Also im guessing on about 3-4 mpg better economy. Here is the video... I can't be happier with this tuner!!! Especially since i'm on the lowest level of three tunes and getting this good of results!

Your truck is governed for a reason. Chances are your tires aren't rated to go faster than that either (assuming you have stock ones).

Agreed. My tuner made a noticeable difference. Was I making gobs of power? No but compared to stock there was a decent difference. With my tires and tuner my truck has about the power of a stock truck.

Well i'm going to dig up this thread since I just bought a Predator from Bad04duratec. Installed it last night but haven't really gotten a chance to test it out. Gonna try it out Monday when i'm off.

Well after several hours of driving I have to say I'm very pleased with it. Right off the bat I can tell the throttle response is much better. I was running 91 tune but installed the 91 performance tune this morning to run for a while. I'll be driving it down to Charleston in 2 weeks and will see how the highway mileage does.

Does it recalibrate speedometer for larger tires? Any real improvement on fuel economy? Thanks.

Anyone?

That has been using it and checking their mileage....or should I just dig out the crystal ball?

I bought the one that was for sale in this thread and yes it recalibrates your speedo. As for mileage... it didn't make any huge difference on my 4.0L.

I couldn't get any better mileage out of it than when I was just driving as economically as I could before I had it. The difference I noticed is that my mileage is better when driving normally. Hope that makes sense...

You can recalibrate the speedo with this tuner. I saw a mild increase in mileage on highway but not really during city use.
