Some supplements ive been on

1st review

Muscle Milk-Milk Shake Flavor......2 scoops in 15 oz of fat free milk hmmm so good right before you goto sleep and after your work out i bet you wont wake up sore no matter how hard you work out.

2nd Review

BSN's NO-XPLOD and Nitrix

Stuff is GOD no lie i have put on 7lbs of mass from this (and in conjunction with muscle milk) in a lil over a week and a half. I feel great and im seeing very noticeable gains. Ill never work out without with stuff again

Detour bar- Oatmeal Raisin flavor.......All i gotta say is i was ripped off the lady at vitamin world told me they tasted great well they taste like **it. I was dry heaving while i was eating it and im not even kidding but for an extra 30g of protein on top of my muscle milk i guess ill have to deal with it. If you wanna do the detour bar def get another flavor

I have no knowledge of the no-xplod and nitrix but muscle milk is worthless i believe.

I myself have done creatine burst and whey protein right now. 15 lbs in a few weeeks. Good stuff!

No-Xplode is the best. I took it for 3 weeks and put on 13lbs of muscle that stuff rocks so does the axis HT by BSN.

Protein bars (low carb type) are a way of life for me for quick replenishment. My diabete's rules out any high-carb fast snacks and all.

If you can take 20g protein instead, try a brand called "Pure Protein". Only 3g of carbs (may not be an issue for most people anyway) and 20g of protein and these really are good. The "S'mores" flavor, and the "Chewy Chocalate Chip" are favorites. The "Peanut Butter" ones are also good, and I just got a flavor called (I think) "Double Chocolate" or something like that.

Don't know if the 20g protein vs. 30g is an issue -- but the "Pure Protein" bars are pretty good. All the ones I have say "Great New Taste" on the box -- it could be they used to not be so good.

They also have 0 grams of trans-fat -- good idea no matter what you situation.

Good luck in your body building efforts -- but watch out for "gimmicks", is probably all I would say.

Whey protein by itself takes along time to see results

True that. Protein/muscle mass takes longer to build than fat and water retention -- which obviously aren't that beneficial anyway!

If you want to gain weight, you need to intake 1 gram of protein for every pound of body weight (180 lbs. = 180 grams). Two scoops is definitely not enough.

Very true. When protein is metabolized there is a solid residue that must find it's way out through the kidneys. Sometimes it's been called "protein ash". Definitely fodder for stones if you're prone.

Dont expect instant results. I'd give 2 months for a noticeable good difference.

The No-explode stuff does work well, however I just don't feel the pumps and energy like it's advertised. I did notice some marginal gains in the first week I used it. I couple that with some Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey about an hour after wrokout and it seems to be doing good things. The whey is awesome cuz it's not expensive and it seems like it's helping along with the No-explode. I'm gonna do a body cleanse or whatever to see if the No-explode hits harder after. Anyways, if you ever hear about any other supplements, etc. let me know.

Also, what are your workouts like?

I know most of you guys are using this to bulk up or gain some weight that isnt fat, but I was wondering...

If this tuff works to build Muscles and more muscle burns more fat, do you guys think taking a supplement like this would initially bulk me up even more but eventually help me lose fat? I dont care how much I weigh, but too much of my weight is body fat, and there are no miracle cures. BUt should I just do regular excercise with no supplements meant to bulk you up or would this help? I dont wanna gain mass unless its clearly muscle.

Yeah you can build muscle and that'll help the fat be burned more quickly. You'll get toned and being a little stronger never hurts. You're not gonna get freakishly huge on this stuff, but if you bust your ***, you will get the results you want.

There's no reason to take weight gainers/muscler builderes with an eventual goal to lose weight. You'd be better taking stuff that's supposed to help you lose weight. But most importantly you should diet and stop drinking alcohol. Just eat salads and crap. Ephedra isn't legal anymore unfortunately. The stuff works and is good otherwise.

I definately feel the pumps and energy i take 4 scoops instead of 2-3 and i take it with NITRIX. My workouts have never felt any better and the pumps are explosive. I will never ever ever ever ever work out without this stuff again

Before using much Nitrix, please pull up this google search:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...ty&btnG=Search

Higher than normal levels of NO in the can increase DNA strand breakage and be mutagenic. You may want to take appropriate anti-oxidants if you use this stuff, and it's still a long-term risk. It probably WON'T do anything NOW -- but mutagenics can increase your cancer risk, or inhibit genetic repair an allow some other substance to cause cancer.

Just a word to the wise...

That's a stupid way to look at cancer. Maybe your family didn't take care of itself and much of it was preventable. You can make different choices. Many things happen that were not "meant to be" because of human ignorance, bad judgement, and stupidity.

You've been educated, so ignorance can no longer be your excuse.

You're telling me you think you're susceptible to cancer, so you're going to IGNORE the fact that this substance makes it MORE LIKELY?

You're a whack job!

Show me your research that Nitrix causes cancer. You're making some very general statements there. ****, everything causes cancer, if you take the "i'm from california" approach. I need some research that says that Nitrix is the same as Nitric Oxide. Especially if the formula is the same.

Anyways, all the extra supplemement your body doesn't need usually gets pooped out. A body can regulate the chemicals to an extent. You come in, say its going to cause cancer, trying to start a scare, when there's not one shown fact it causes cancer.
